Rep. Allen West is finally in the Capitol building, which is truly a welcome sight. He’s asked if he’ll run for the freshmen leadership position, and to my surprise he said he will only if people ask him to run. He says he’s more interested in being a good legislator and representing his constituents. He’s also asked about cutting defense, to which says ‘we have to’ as long as it doesn’t prevent us from being successful. He also adds we need to stop nation building because he believes it’s taken our eye off of the enemy.
