Laura Ingraham had New Jersey Congressman Chris Smith on her radio show today to give his reaction to Joe Biden’s comments on Sunday at Sichuan University in Chengdu, China, where he inexplicably felt compelled to assure his audience that he “fully understands” and does not “second-guess” China’s brutally enforced one-child policy. Smith has been a long-time pro-life advocate in the House, and is almost beside himself in disbelief to hear the Vice President of the United States now making excuses, at least rhetorically, for a government that “hunts down” pregnant women, drags them to clinics, and forces them to have abortions on the spot. And worse.
It is really worth a listen.
John Boehner also issued a statement yesterday, calling Biden’s remarks “deeply troubling.”
