Could well be - after all, both Obama and Hillary don't want their careful, 'arab spring - all is well in the M.E.' narrative shown up for the disaster it is, not so soon after the election, and not while the economy in the USA is entering uncharted waters.
Clinton promised Israel something they need, probably something to do with their 'Iron Dome' defense system. We all know that this (so called) cease fire is nothing but a dog and pony show.
As we learned in WW2 with the Japanese, it's very difficult to fight an enemy that considers life cheap. But there's another lesson we learned from the Japanese. To defeat this kind of enemy, you must make it virtually impossible in any way, for them to wage war.
We have been 'negotiating' with Islam for centuries, there will soon come a time where the 'religion of subjugation' will be too powerful to stop.
There might be something going on, but it's conjecture to say there is.
I love Israel, but in some ways they are smarter than us and in some ways they are not. They're human and do stupid crap like we do. The worst example I can think of is how they will trade a thousand terrorists for one or a few innocent civilians being held captive. I know they deeply care about their citizens, unlike our politicians, but in my view this is really a bad deal. They get an untold number of people killed by allowing terrorists back onto the battlefield.

From your link, a poll shows 70% of the public did Not want the ceasefire. I hope this doesn't end up backfiring for Bibi. He is the leader Israel needs in this time.

Do you know if Eqypt is the decision maker to determine whether or not the terms of the ceasefire are violated? I heard this statement on the radio just now by a former mayer of a town in Israel. I sure hope that is not true.
Yes indeed - and I have the feeling Bibi has left the door open for Israel to administer such a trouncing if and when required. More - that he told both Obama and Hillary that that was the case.

I pray for an end to the savagery as well but I put no faith in any agreement that is brokered by the MB, which is on the same page as Hamas, Al Qaeda etal. Heck, they started all the jihadi groups who feel more empowered by the day. Only a complete military trouncing will stop this.

So let's get this straight... is that an admission that Hamas can still launch "big unarmed pipes" at Israel while Israel has the Obama regime's permission to shoot them down. After all... the Palestinian propaganda mouthpieces in the West keep telling us... these missiles are benign big unarmed steel pipes... at worst just firecrackers. So Obama's support is just to shoot them down?

Hamas must be very confident that their stock of missiles will be replenished by Iran, through Egypt. They are still shelling South Israel as if their missiles grew on trees.

I refuse to believe that Hillary and Obama do not know what 'hudna' means. The people who surround them would have told them, surely, on top of which the experience of 2008/09 should still be fresh in some people's minds in Foggy Bottom.

I think it is up to the House now to put a stoppage on all aid to Egypt. If they cannot show that they have been honest brokers, and if they cannot show that they are going to pull Hamas' teeth, then no more money. Tough.
Oh - and increase the financial and material support to Israel.
After all, Iran does send missiles and Revolutionary Guards to help Hamas ...

I don't mean too sound harsh because I hope every day that peace is possible. I just know that it isn't.
Yep Hamas needs time to acquire more rockets and re-organize. And we are going to pressure Israel into giving it to them, again. This reminds me of how we fight the Taliban in Afghanistan.
