Rick Santelli calls it like he sees it and after hearing the news that the GDP growth rate shrunk for 4th quarter of 2012, he proclaimed “we have become Europe!”

Watch (h/t: Mediaite)

I loved his response to the idiot liberal saying we made huge cuts. Obama has pushed spending so high with trillion dollar deficits that there is no doubt that he is the reason we need to even make cuts. No doubt.

You just can't beat Rick Santelli. He is the spokesperson for all of us. Because he understands the economy and how it works. Most Americans don't. Liberals don't have a clue.

I am reminded of the old joke about the woman who received a notice of overdraft on her checking account. She immediately called the bank, and said, "how can I have an overdraft? I still have checks in my checkbook!"

I love Rick Santelli, he is a true patriot.

The so-called "cuts" to the extent there are ANY, are in the GROWTH of spending year-over-year. These idgets just can't stop pushing us all into eternal poverty and government collapse. God save us from communists and fools!

Obama always wanted us to become more like France. Now he has the economy to go with it.

And France just announced they are bankrupt.. so by all means, let's follow them. What idiots!

Stevie is an idiot and the fraud's water carrier. Santelli is a constant truth teller an relentlessly exposes the sham economists who attempt to justify endless money printing and the similarly endless increases in federal spending. He is the original 'Tea Partier'.

Liesman and Santelli go at each other's throats all the time. Liesman thinks he's all high and mighty (and moves up the ladder by kissing butt), whereas Rick is down to earth, on the trading floor like the average Joe, and speaks his mind often, tearing Liesman a new one every single time.

Santelli is not dependent on CNBC to earn a living which is refreshing, and I get the vibe even if he were he wouldn't put up with crapola.

It’s unprecedented and unexpected….and NOT in a good way.

Let's think about this for a minute. There are record gun and ammo sales, record background checks for purchase and conceal and carry.....

And a whole bunch of sheriffs and veterans who have said, out loud, that we will go to war over this subject.

True enough but I was pointing to the economy. That's a lot of consumer spending

Right, they've stopped buying big things like houses, cars and big TV's and are spending their cash on guns and ammo, prepping for MY point.

And the media gives him a pass.

I want to contribute something meaningful to this... but it's the same old thing. We've been saying how things would go... where we're heading and yet the clowns in Washington keep steering towards our doom. They easily get side tracked with gun control, immigration, and a slew of other less relevent topics and we never focus on fixing things... and likely won't while this monster is in the WH. And Boehner and McConnell have the collective spine of a jelly fish and the I.Q. of a box of rocks... and we keep sliding towards this.

America is becoming Benghazi... and we are the ambassador. There are warning signs all over... Al Queda flags over Washington... financial attacks through TARP and bailouts... and the spending and enemies increase. Why isn't anyone fixing this and stopping this madness? The iceberg is literally right in front of us. The S.S. Greece, the S.S. France and other ships that have already hit it and are sinking, and they keep telegraphing us about the danger and yet no one changes course. And we keep going...

I know (and believe in my soul) that Obama hates America and he and his communist cronies are deliberately doing all of this... but where are the Minutemen of today? Paul Revere has already rode out and we've been duely warned... our debt and destruction looms like a massive tidal wave racing towards the Poseidon and no one is battening down the hatches. How can our leadership allow this monster to follow through on this? He's like a 2-yr. old behind the wheel of a bulldozer (the size of Florida).

I know God is in control... but man... this requires serious faith in Him because it all looks so grim.

Laurel
Laurel

The left would dearly love it if you lost your faith...and so would Satan.

Remember this: Our Founding Fathers exhausted every single possibility for years before they went to war.

I think the pendulum will swing but maybe not until things are good and broken. Remember this as well people are stupid and Democrats because the smart people afford them that luxury. Yes stupidity is indeed a luxury. Sometimes people really need to be burned to learn. Hunker down and keep your faith because it is your shield.

Spot on...

We're literally dodging tornadoes here in Georgia... maybe the weather is that one more straw that's contributing to my feeling down.

Good things come to those who wait... God is faithful. Rom. 8:28...

Thanks for the encouragement. Excellent comment.

But, unlike Job who never once under great pain, suffering, and temptation ever once even thought of renouncing God and so God returned to Job not just all that had been lost but ten times more; America many Decades ago kicked God to the curb and that does not bode well and here we are.

Great points...

I'm just letting worry seep into the cracks lately. Nothing a little more church and faith can't fix.

As for America... well, we've got a lot of work to do. And God is with us.

Norway was an amazing place to visit...DURING the summer. We loved it.

But -40 is way way way toooo cold during the rest of the year. I just can’t take that kind of weather. I'm such a big baby ...when it comes to cold.

Yikes I shiver. And I can’t get past it.

I admit, I’m a wussy girl. There’s no other word for it. I can pretend, and work around it, but the bottom line is, I dislike, and pretty much hate cold weather. I know some of it is hard wired but I am here to tell you that no matter now much I try …its still COLD.

It been our "family" goal to climb the 7 summits...We really want to do Denali( Mc McKinley next) in Alaska. But it is weather sensitive and hard hard hard!!!.. …. In the mean time, we climb other peaks that spark our interest and try to have fun and amuse ourselves…. But the altitude can always be problematic…

MiketheMarine
MiketheMarine

Aha, so what you guys do sounds very much like the arctic/mountain training I did in February 1991 in Norway. -40, 10 feet of snow and a mountain that seems to go straight up. Yup, I've been there and done that. What I don't understand is why you guys do it voluntarily. That seems a bit crazy, even for me. ;-)

poljunkie
poljunkie

Heh!

I can't profess to doing the kind of rock climbing that involves bare hands and many shear wall. Although I have crawled upside down or under an outcropping to get around…I don’t make a habit of going over the edge.

Those guys and gals are amazing. Their agility is incredible…and the mind games they must have to play. WOW. The thing about those athletes is they usually aren’t encumbered with tons of gear and a bunch of crap to sustain them. Whereas as we, as usual always pack tooo much. (AND then have to drag it up to 23,000 Feet!!!)

What we do is more climbing/mountaineering. AT VERY HIGH ALTITUDES, and often times at extreme tempertures.

MiketheMarine
MiketheMarine

It makes rock climbing much easier without a big butt to drag behind you, I bet!

Absolutely, we're more like family than friends what with your husbands experience. And I could carry you PLUS all my gear easy. You're a tiny little thing, aren't ya. LOL

Thanks Mike. The Right Scoop is a fantastic place.

I am very sorry for your pain. I know it very well. You know my husband served in the late 60's-70's and as he puts it, once a soldier, always a soldier... Its in your

heart. He still bristles at the way he and others were mistreated. SOOO he makes it his mission to welcome, and extend a handshake (or hug) any one in uniform he sees now.

By the way….I only use up 112 lbs of the 150 pound allotment…

:-)

When we have an open thread I will tell you about some of our climbing stories. We're doing the 7 Summits, and what a b*tch it is to LUG crap to the top.

Thanks again I'm proud to call you friend.

Again, it's just who God made me. I had a VERY BAD night with what was happening with Israel and Syria and Iran and if not for two of my Scoop Angels talking me down, I may have had an even worse night than I did.

That's how we will make it through these tough times. We'll lean on each other when one of us needs it. THAT is what the Marine Corps is all about, and I think We've already begun building the Esprit De Corps here at Scoop which we will need cause it's going to get worse before it gets better.

BTW, You are welcome and I mean it, too.

I do too but I want a house full of little pitter patter feet running around and I'm already 42. Time marches on.

I'm feeling what you're saying Sober_Brother. God IS in control, but yeah, it'd be a little more encouraging to see some action against the evil stuff that' been going on- but we'll not see it coming from Washington. :-(

We need someone to climb up on that bulldozer and take the key away, but who? And when?

I don't want bloodshed like they're having in Egypt, but I have to say- the demonstrators there seem to have a lot more guts than Americans right now.

Sober_Thinking

I'll (we'll be okay in the end) - Rom. 8:28. I'm just feeling a little frustrated at it all... every day these animals come at us with something new and there never seems to be enough traction on our side. No rest for the wicked right? Well, we need to be even more resilient and tenacious... I'm just building calluses for the long fight...

Regarding Egypt... the flow of weapons seems to come from the MB and of course, the good ol' U.S. of A. - thanks Washington. :(
