Rick Santorum supports Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Carly Fiorina

From the day that Sarah Palin endorsed Carly Fiorina she’s gotten a lot of criticism from the right that she picked the more ‘moderate’ republican candidate in the California Senate race to beat Barbara Boxer. Today however Rick Santorum decided to step into her corner and defend her pick:

I haven't seen much info about Carly being moderate. I know she has run businesses in her career, so she seems like she has the kind of experience we would want from someone making important decisions.

Personally, it doesn't really matter to me. I'd see a shining ray of hope if ANYONE can nudge California to the right. Haha.

“As a Conservative, I have followed Sarah Palin closely, truly believing that she was not the Progressive that John McCain is. With her latest endorsement, my faith in her wanes ever greater. I cannot, I will not, under any circumstances vote for Carly Fiorina. I will vote for Boxer first. At least that way, the death of my beloved country will be quick, less painful than the prolonged death by a Republican Progressive. Go Chuck Devore!!!!!”

Wow, you're a progressive socialist (and so much more) if you'd vote for Boxer, like you said.

Fiorina has been endorsed by several pro-life organizations, both state and national, and the NRA, to name a few. There is still a primary, if DeVore is the better candidate, let people vote for him. Just because Palin endorsed Fiorina doesn't mean that people have to vote her if they don't want to, people do have freedom to vote for whoever they want. Undoubtedly, if Palin had not endorsed anyone, she would be criticized for that as well. Palin made a choice, and a decision, without sticking her finger in the wind, that is what a leader does.

I agree it's up to them to decide. There's probably a great deal of stupid Boxer voters out there for the feminazi movement and if a better female candidate ran that they could support instead of Boxer who makes you want to gouge out your eyes and ear then she could pick up votes. I saw her and Devore on hannity out there and while in my conservative opinion devire is better but for Cali voters its their call, also i did not get the impression she would vote lock stock and barrel with Grahamnesty, McCain, or Maine's two idiots either

If McCain had won in the 2008 election, the people would not have awakened as they have, and we would still be on our slow crawl to socialism and destruction. It is because of the jolt Obama and the Congress felt they now had the power to implement that most people have awakened. Any progressive RINO would not be a vote to stem the tide, but would instead work to thwart the reform we need, much as McCain and Graham did during Bush's terms. You don't have to be a progressive socialist to understand that, big picture, a RINO is no better than a progressive socialist like Boxer. They are only slower.

I could not vote for the progressive over the socialist in this case, but I also could not vote for the RINO.

I haven't seen much about Fiorina or Devore, so I can only hope that not much difference exists and both are conservative. Palin has disappointed me in her endorsement of both McCain and Perry in Texas. I can understand why she might support McCain (Levin and Rush have indicated why) inspite of his obvious progressivism. But, I can only hope her experience gives her some better insight into people like Perry and Fiorina than I have.

California, just educate yourself and don't rely on endorsements.

Palin is two faced , just like Fiorina . Palin endorsed the lukewarm liberial john mccain this year , then two days ago dissed mccain in Michiagan . Fiornia endorsed john mccain and his cap and tax , during the presidential ellection , now the two faced Fiorina has switched to being against cap and tax . Campbell is a person with no back bone , and doesnt know what he wants . CHUCK DEVORE has not swayed on his values and believes , unlike the rocking chairs stated above , and tore up campbell and fiorina in the senate debate .

Carly Fiorina sanctioned the creation of a fictitious company so that she could deal with Iran illegally – she has no voting record to back up her claims of “conservatism” and has proven that she will compromise for money. She will be “politics as usual” if she is elected. Santorum made a huge mistake by standing by Palin – he should know better!!

David, there is a huge difference between the two, namely integrity (DeVore has it, Fiorina compromises for the almighty dollar).

  • http://www.jeffreybean.org Jeffrey

DeVore has been in office for several years and has demonstrated that he is a conservative and pro-life. Fiorina has stated that she is pro-life. But she has never been in office to demonstrate it. Also, she stated that she would have voted “yes” in the confirmation of Sonia Sotomayor for the Supreme Court.

I will be voting for DeVore. Also, you might check out this blog post by Alan Keyes on the subject. http://tinyurl.com/keyesblog

I have to pretty much laugh at anyone who takes Rick Santorum's support seriously. Haha.

  • KeninMontana

You know I am almost sure that I heard Rick Santorum giving an interview a few years back in which he made a statement about how the 4th amendment did not give the right to privacy. I'm still searching and if I find it I'll post a link.

  • KeninMontana

yep I was right the first is one story on it http://www.harrybrowne.org/articles/PrivacyRigh…
this second is another column defending his statement but not denying it

Just trying to be fair and balanced but his statement has always concerned me.

  • KeninMontana

The reason I bring this up is shine a little light on Santorum and considering the weight his opinions deserve to carry.

    Carly wont win the primary.
Chuck Devore is the only leader running in this race!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Bill-Nelson/100000172083764 Bill Nelson

Carly is not a conservative, and believe me when I tell you, an endorsement from Palin doesnt hold much water here in California. The time for electing “moderates” is long gone, we have a crisis of leadership in this country, and sending another “go along to get along” to DC isnt happening.
Chuck Devore will win the primary

  • JSnapp

Carly Fiorina is much to moderate. We need to get back to the US Constitution. Vote for Chuck Devore.

Carley is much too moderate. We need to get back to the Constitution. Vote for Chuck Devore

  • caro1234

I have always been a hugh fan of Sarah Palin, but strike three and you are out! This is too much. Chuck Devore stands for a limited government, fiscal conservation and representation of the people. Carly stands for herself. Her business experience includes running HP into the ground and like GE, she traded with Iran. My money, literally, is on Chuck Devore!

CHUCK DEVORE IS THE BEST CANDIDATE… THE TRUE CONSERVATIVE. GET IT RIGHT NEXT TIME. SARAH PALIN HAS SHOT HERSELF IN THE FOOT ON THIS CHOICE.

  • freedomjewelrygal

There is ONLY ONE TRUE CONSERVATIVE in this race and that is CHUCK DEVORE!!!
I wouldn't be surprised if Sarah was paid to endorse Fiorina…as a matter of fact I have been told so by other candidates that requested her endorsement.
California has made it's choice..Chuck DeVore is our man.

  • pamrobinson

Now Rick Santorum, who claims to be a 'conservative' is supporting yet another moderate. This is why the Republican Party is drowning and we can no longer tell the difference between either party… we have no more leaders just sheeple! Wow and I actually supported Mr. Santorum in his last race – maybe that's why it was his last race.
