The speeches during the day have been pretty unremarkable given they only had a couple of minutes to speak. But Rep. Tim Scott found a way to spice up his speech by telling Obama to “hit the road jack, and dontcha come back no more!” in a way that only he could pull it off.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - we in SC have elected men & women with BACKBONE. Mitt should take lessons.

I am proud of this man...he is great. We need more of Obamas own former supporters dumping him for Gov. Romney and Paul Ryan.

Hit the road "Buh-rack" would have been even better.

We need more "fire in the belly" speeches like this young man

just delivered! Thank you Rep. Scott.

Hit the road? You didn't build that road!

I can't believe the GOP just nominated a progressive liberal who invented obamacare and you people all swallow it like it's your morning coffee.

The GOP didn't nominate Obama.

Romney and Obama are essentially the same thing. Look at their policy decisions. You people are blind partisans with no desire for liberty. Hell, Romney's power grab attempt is unprecedented and yet HOORAY HE'S OUR CANDIDATE is all I hear. Learn to think for yourselves.

I was fortunate to can him during Scoop's live feed (thanks Scoop)! He is an energetic leader and a great story of overcoming adversity, rising above instead of becoming a gov't dependent.

Let's hope Team Romney won't do a dis-service to the Tea Party and other conservative elements within the Republican Party. I've heard Team Romney is trying to distance themselves from conservatives and that would be a horrible mistake in my opinion.

I know we're supposed to be uniting around the Romney/Ryan ticket. I'm trying to do that and I'm really glad Romney chose a conservative as his VP. But for Team Romney to turn its back on the conservative movement distorts the message of unity within the Republican Party and will likely anger the very people Romney needs for a win in November.

Remember it was valiant conservative candidates who won record numbers of seats in the 2010 mid-term elections. If not for conservatives the House of Representatives would likely still be controlled by Nanny Pelosi and Democrats. Therefore, Team Romney needs to tread very lightly and if they do distance themselves from the Tea Party movement and conservatism in general, it could spell disaster for Republicans and for Mitt Romney on November 6th.

If conservatives feel left out or their message downplayed by the establishment and by Mitt Romney (who is a part of the establishment), it could have detrimental consequences. They don't want to anger a huge segment of the population that made it possible for Republicans to regain control of the House of Representatives and added a few seats to the Senate in 2010 as well.

My advice to Team Romney would be: DON'T BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU!!! DON'T CUT OFF YOUR NOSE TO SPITE YOUR FACE!!! DON'T THROW OUT THE BABY WITH THE BATH WATER!!!

"A slightly different explanation suggests that this flexible catchphrase has to do with discarding the essential while retaining the superfluous because of excessive zeal. In other words, the idiom is applicable not only when it's a matter of throwing out the baby with the bath water, but also when someone might throw out the baby and keep the bath water." Wikipedia

Translation: don't reject the essential (conservatives) because by doing so you'll fracture the Republican Party, and thus, make it harder to obtain a victory in November. Capiche? I hope Team Romney understands the dire consequences they could face if they "marginalize" the conservative Republican base.

Mike, the Tea Party is going to support Romney whether we like him or not because he's the alternative to Obama. We're hoping he's settled down, seen the light, and has enough sense to run the country in this financial crisis. After he's elected, he had better listen to us, because we can take out the entire Congress, one man at a time.

Obama sings Al Green better than Tim Scott sings Ray Charles, but that's okay. Obama was singing "Let's Stay Together." "Hit the Road, Jack" is more like it.

I think I heard some boos when he said,"I am proud to support Mitt Romney!" Interesting!

Ron Paul supporters? Or disgruntled Tea Partiers maybe.

I believe it is the Ron Paul supporters. Cavuto interviewed Paul. This whole thing is going to spin out of control. Levin and Rush along with Malkin are right on target with this situation. But Palin sent a shot across the bow to the RNC the other night. Her response on the 'down ballot elections' and her strength of getting her candidates elected is pissing off the insiders and the leadership!!!

She really is RESTORING America one candidate at a time. She has always said she intends to do things unconventional!! And she MEANT it.

She is a modern day Patriot in the same vein as those very patriots that lived and fought for the foundation of America. God bless her! She is a living national treasure!
