Not only was her speech not great, it was all about her. She didn't mention her husband on how he could be a good President. She wanted us to trust what she said about him. Why would we do that. I don't find her particularly smart or informative on the issues. She spoke from a scripted speech that made little sense. Interviews that followed with her were sharply criticized. She sounded condescending and not bright. This was clearly now a WOW moment from her on behalf of her husband. Because of all the inept speakers the Republican campaign had, she probably sounded great, but it was done only by comparison. Of course, there is nothing more to say about the stupidity of a speech given by Clint Eastman. What a fool that man was.
I'm just blown away. I am so proud to be an American at this moment and aspire to become successful, after many years of being bitter and angry and jealous of success. Great leaders lift us all up, not divide us.
I saw her like a modern moving liberty statue that symbolizes the strength of America. America also have great mothers that raised their children to greatness..

Beautiful woman, inside out. A real woman's woman, a fighter and survivor, and a darling. So real and so strong. I can see that she is not one to be messed with. Feel's good to know there's a great woman holding the next president up.

this person is not REAL Ann Romney, but fake picture of hard working mother of five children.
Real Ann Romney have to get her first real job with paycheck, and after she can to lecture us about limitless love to the family, GOD and Country.

To say I'm turned off with Michelle and her scowling face and turned-up nose, is an understatement. How can a person who was handed the role of First Lady be so darn un-happy is beyond me. The perks this woman has and the privileges to do with what or what ever she so desires, yet still, she cannot muster-up a decent smile, or seemingly look happy at any event or the going's on around her.
Ann Romney will be a welcoming change.

The First Lady of any nation should stand beside, and at times, behind her husband. Never in front of him. Ann Romney is just such a woman. I think she will make a terrific First Lady.
Okay people, lets not salivate all over the place. The Romney's ARE NOT CONSERVATIVES, they are liberal Republicans and we have to hold their feet to the fire when they get elected. Lets not forget the Bush family who brought us Obama and "B.J. Clinton".
I'm sick of the Romney worship as if he's some new Reagan. Romney will never be a great President because he is not a Conservative-PERIOD. Sure, next to Obama he looks like George Washington, but that doesn't make Romney George Washington.
He still seems to think local tyrannical government (RomneyCare) is okay, raising fees (taxes) is okay, has particularly liberal stances on abortion and gay "marriage", bashing Conservatives behind the scenes, etc, etc, etc.
Get him in there to replace Obama and then replace Romney.

Agreed - the only positive about Mitt Romney is not his wife, it's his selection of the only adult and credible conservative in the race, Paul Ryan, for VP.
I have NOT forgotten Romney's leftist liberal governorship record and his ruthless dishonest business tactics and Alinsky political tactics and his eight lies (at least) during the FL primary debate. I'm no fan of Romney or his wife, except for their strong stable marriage.
Yes, yes, lovely, classy, well-spoken, nice dress, what you'd expect from any well-intentioned wife. Now she starts to speak TO YOU. No one missed it, especially the women in the audience. Did you see their faces? They could not have been listening more intently and thinking more intently about what her words meant. Then, "He will not fail!" Boom! That was a subterranean nuclear missile that just reached it's target. This is how the truth feels when it is spoken without hesitation. I was not so much for the Mitt before. Now I know, he will not fail.

How was I not "giving him a break"? I gave him some advice on zooming. I fixed his second, all caps post, because I'm helpful like that, and I didn't delete any of it or ban him.
Ads are served by ad placement businesses. You can try to exert some control over them, but in the end, it's a fair playing field, and you have to accept some ads will pop up that are not in accord with the mindset of the site or it's readers.
Besides, we aren't into censorship on the right, are we? Let's let Obama pay to keep blogs on the right up and running. At least he's using Campaign cash to do it, and not spending our money for a change.
Everyone is not politically savvy and I doubt many know you can zoom in w your browser-I certainly didn't and am no beginner on a PC. I have a friend who is very intelligent who did not realize you can speed up or slow down the mouse/touch pad.

Hmm ok maybe I'm going to get jumped here but I didn't see anything special. I agree she's a class act but I wasn't that impressed with her speech. I'm impressed with her as a person but the speech was good not great imho. I thought Santorum's and Artur's was better. Theirs seemed more real and heartfelt. She had a couple of good lines but that's it.
I agree. I like and respect Mrs. Romney. I think she's one heck of a woman. FIVE BOYS! lol. Remember, that's a ton of pressure to deal with, and she probably doesn't have much experience giving speeches. Aside from political junkies, it won't matter at all. She's not running for POTUS. She'd make a fine first lady.
I just don't agree with everyone saying that she was" the best", she "hit it out of the park" and all the other cliches being thrown around. As far as speeches go it was ok not great. Just seemed like a typical speech by a wife backing her husband.
I agree with the several comments above - Anne's speech really isn't going to make a difference. Yes, she was great for those who plan to vote for her husband. But those who can't stand Romney, for whatever reasons, will not be swayed by her speech. Same holds true for the Dems. Those who already made up their mind to vote for Obama will say how wonderful Michelle Obama's speech was at the DNC convention when she speaks next week, and will also say she hit it out of the park. But those who can't stand Obama will not be swayed by anything Michelle says on his behalf.
Bottom line is these conventions are only watched by political junkies like us. Same will hold true for the DNC convention next week. Those few undecided voters who will decide this election, don't pay any attention to this stuff until the debates.

And, did you notice... after she finishes a statement, Ann Romney holds her smile with confidence, with assurance, with original intent?
There's just something about how she holds her smile that tells me that she believes what she is saying that produces her smile.
