Romney held a pretty interesting press conference today to explain how his Medicare plan leads to solvency and Obama’s leads to bankruptcy in 12 years. He also took questions from the press on a variety of subjects including Medicare, his comments about Obama’s divisive campaign, and of course his taxes.
He handled the press very well despite getting a few loaded questions. One asked him if having to explain Medicare like this was a distraction from what he really wanted to talk about – jobs and the economy. In a response that made me LOL, Romney said “I think we’re the ones that brought up the topic.” BAM!
He also gently skewered the press for obsessing over his past taxes while there are much bigger issues that we face.
