He is a breath of fresh air! He really makes sense when he speaks and he does that with conviction. I am so hopeful he will become the next President of the United States of America. I'm tired of the Divided States of America under this current administration.
I think Romney can turn this sinking ship around, I only wish he was starting his job tomorrow.
Hey I just heard on fox, that there is a rumor going around that the vp pick could come as early as saturday, and there is a strong feeling that is going to be Marco Rubio, if it is its a great day, and I think will help romney very much, and it shows that the republican party is ready to fight.
I really hate these kinds of interviews. Romney is doing well. But no, the FED should be fired - new banking system on solid value for currency.
BAR STOOL ECOMICS
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for a beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100.
If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.00
The sixth would pay $3.00
The seventh would pay $7.00
The eighth would pay $12.00
The ninth would pay $18.00
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.00
So that’s what they decided to do. The men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with arraignment, until one day, the owner threw them a curve.
“Since you are all such good customers, he said, I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.00.
“Drinks for the ten men now cost just $80.00
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men – the paying customers? How could they divide the $ 20 windfall so that everyone would get there “fair share?” They realized that $ 20.00 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay!
And so:
The fifth man like the first four, now paid nothing ( 100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28% savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of 12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid 14 instead of 18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before! And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.
“I only got a dollar out of the $20“ declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, “but he got $10!”
“Yeah, that’s right, shouted the seventh man. “why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!”
“Wait a minute,” yelled the first four men in union. “ We didn’t I get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!”
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn’t show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn’t have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, boys and girls, journalist and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

He's on the right track on what needs to be done. So many people say there's no difference between Romney and Obama, but....do they even remotely have the same views? No. I think we'll be alright.
Well stated and in complete control of this interview. He has the commander and chief attitude and ability.
I can not wait until the debates. Obama will be stupefied with Jackie Gleason's famous quote- "Humanah-humanah"!
Obama will make things up and speak in platitudes. The mediators will not call him on it, aside from maybe Fox. But if it's not required to go to the Fox debate I wouldn't be surprised if Obama skips. I already believe he's going to only do the minimum amount of debating possible. Unchecked lies in speeches works so much better than having to defend himself.
if we want continuing destruction of our America, vote for obama or any other democrat.
Never forget they are one and the same, so both must be voted out.
tea party patriot
It takes a party to do the damage this party has done to Americans and our nation, this isn't just a few powerful democrat leaders, it's the whole rotten apple.
Obama being president has just embolding their crimes.
The members could have stood against their party leaders, but what have they done? give their leaders More money to continue their crimes.
tea party patriot
In due course the democrat party days of reckoning are coming,
2012 "We The People Win" then where will the scoundrels hide!?
Your right, we see the same happening in our party, but thank goodness there are more starting to stand for whats Right, like for instance Mr Priebus, and others such as the head of the Congressional Tea Party Caucus Mrs Bachmann. Considering the RINOS they've done very well at keeping us informed of the democrats bull.
I listened to Mr Preibus on the Hannity radio program today, Mr Preibus went into far other descriptions of democrat senator Harry Reid and liberals.
We need American minded, thinking, democrats standing for America and Right, but so far they are hell bound committed to keeping Americans in the pits.
Our solemn mission is to stop them.
We must vote them out.
tea party patriot
This Preibus guy is on fire for freedom and liberty, we thinks he's a keeper don't cha know. LOL
freedom & liberty: lest we forget!
Right, but when you have party leaders that don't allow it's members to vote for the people instead of the party it's a lot worse. Obama is a Chicago thug and the Obama/Pelos/Reid team threatens it's members and puts them between a rock and a hard place.
I'm sorry, but our main enemy is not the Progressives. Our main enemy is the Republicans among us who do not have the guts to stand against the Progressives and take the fight to them. If I were in charge of the RNC, McCain would get a seat outside the building. Only people I want on that stage are Mitt Romney, Allen West, Paul Ryan, Sarah Palin. You can keep Condoleeza Rice. She voted for Obama. Put Mia Love in her place. Send Colin Powell an email. Tell him this, "You can stay home this time, General. We don't really need you. You voted for the Monkey too. Simply because of the color of his skin. Both of you are half white and yet, you choose to remain black. You gave away all the achievements you every worked for, to vote for a person who wasn't even born here. I'm sorry. You are no better than Obama. The sooner we are finished with both of you, the better.
The progressives are the main enemy. If not for them there would be no push for socialized medicine, no intentional killing of jobs, no environmental movement that has a stranglehold on politicians, no destruction of our moral values as a nation, no war against Christians, no appeasing of Islam.....ah, you get the point. We have some weak Republicans but they aren't the biggest problem. There should be no need to round up a posse to protect the Constitution because the left should not be trying to destroy it.
However, since the left is trying to destroy the Constitution, we need to insert some big guns in the houses of congress so we can put a stop to it.
RNC lineup starts to take shape
Headline speakers for the Republican National Convention in Tampa:
Florida Gov. Rick Scott
Sen. John McCain
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee
South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley
Ohio Gov. John Kasich
New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez
Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice
Ah geez, McCain and Huckabee?????? ARGH I would have rather heard from Allen West or Jim DeMint, just to name a few that would have been better picks than those losers.
true, but this is just a partial list, except for martinez, i do not want to listen to the others at all, hopefully the rest of the list better then this .
I was only picking the worst of the bunch, so far. (the 2 that ran for POTUS and lost). I don't know much about Martinez so depending on the time slot, I'll try to watch her. I've always like John Kasich as he is a straight talking, problem solving guy. I hope they don't put Rubio on the list..... he might be great for Florida, but he reminds me of a fast talking used car salesman and I hate his dream act crap.
With all of the great freshman that we voted in that helped the R's, you would think they would recognize some of them.
Again, its too hard for me to warm up to the guy. He's finger pointing at Obama about the so-called "stimulus", when he was in favor of it, himself. He's a very dishonest man, and the thought that we have only the choices of WILLARD or Obama for president is very terrible.
And I am SO SICK of people asking him about who he wants for his vice president. ENOUGH ALREADY. HE'S NOT GOING TO TELL YOU.
He applauded the alleged tax reductions in the stimulus bill before Obama was even inaugurated. I don't think anyone has publicly seen the bill at that point and clearly it didn't turn out the way Obama had promised.
But I didn't hear him supporting the 787 billion dollars spent
Your point is that we have to choose between the lesser of two evils I recognize that we dont have the best contrast to go against Obama but Obama has to be the most destructive president in history and we have to not be disillusioned. We have to fight back against the killing of this country.
Great interview. Romney seems to be getting stronger by the week. Stay on message, Mitt and ignore the other side. They can buzz off about more tax returns, it's none of their darn business.
Can't wait for the convention, hopefully it will really get everyone excited.
Best I've seen from Mitt. Wow. I like what I just heard. Now the question is, do we want America, as a whole, to grow and prosper, or do we want government and government handouts to grow. That is the question the American people have to answer.
I had no idea how much Odumbo wants to punish success until I heard on Fox News that our Olympian medalists are being taxed on the medals they earn! If that isn't punishing success, I don't know what is! This imposter in chief has not a clue what it is to work hard for a goal and actually earn it! He has only gotten to where he is by working the corrupt affirmative action system and making alliances with known terrorists! He hasn't EARNED a penny in his life! While he's whining about Romney's tax records...hey Odumbo where are your tax records? Did you pay taxes on the Nobel Peace Prize that you didn't earn? How about your college and bar applications? Why are those sealed? Hmmm, who was it that said he would lead a transparent administration...oh yeah...it was Odumbo! It's not transparent, but more than apparent he is a socialist pig!
Obama said, in one of his speeches, that we have to rebuild the 'middle class' first and then worry about businesses. That is just pure insanity. Without businesses, there are no jobs for the middle class. Where does Obama think he's going to get the wealth to restore the middle class? From entitlements, apparently. Get them on the dole first, then think about getting businesses on the dole.
Obama must be removed, no question about it.
BTW, it was nice to hear Romney say that the VP would be chosen by the 3rd day of the convention. I believe it would be a mistake to pick a VP before the convention, as it takes all the steam out of it in Tampa. He needs to come out of the convention on a strong roll, with both barrels firing.
"Where does Obama think he's going to get the wealth to restore the middle class?"
Nancy Pelosi as well as others in the administration have said that welfare checks are the best way. According to them, folks spending their welfare checks will spur jobs to take care of them consequently stimulating the economy.
Kinda makes ya scratch yer head, don't it?
'Kinda makes ya scratch yer head, don't it?' - b
Yeah, right after I get done banging it against the wall.
Great interview Mitt Romney, Read my lips "I will not release more taxes", this is what he has to say. I just finished watching fox news sunday and two of the supposedly republican analysts are calling for Romney to release more taxes, in my view this is what hurts the romney campaign more than anything when we have people from our side validating this ridiculous argument that the libs have brought to the table, ....If he releases more taxes the liberals will win, I promise that the minute he releases them I will tell you what I am going to feel, and is that Romney is weak, and is another guy that wants to go to washington to be liked. What he should do is embrace that he is a successful person that has made money off the private enterprise and not off the back of the tax payers.
Romney just has to say that "Once people make false accusations, they've made it clear they're not interested in facts. So releasing tax returns has ZERO chance of ending the false accusations. They'll just ask for more returns or make up something else."
Actually this is how I would answer the question if I was Romney. Reporter: Mr Romney, are you going to release more tax returns? Romney: Let me ask you a question is releasing more taxes going to help, the millions of people that are out of work? is releasing more taxes going to help the people that are suffering, and are paying record prices for gas? is releasing more taxes going to help people that when they go to the supermarket, find that the price for a gallon of milk has skyrocketed to record levels? so no I will not release more taxes.
completely agree dont you agree that he should just come out and say I will not release more taxes?
No Romney has not said point blank i will not release more taxes, they have left the door opened.
You are spot on, p! Why don't Romney ask Sheriff Joe Arpaio to make an annoucement that he is turning over all of the evidence that he found showing that Obama's birth certificate is fraudulant. We shouldn't care if they call those who want to get to the bottom of this "birthers". That's just a tactic to get us to stop talking about the birth certificate just like homosexuals call us homophobic to scare and intimidate us into accepting their lifestyle. I cannot beleive that the democrat party, who put this man up as President without proving that he was born in this coutry, is calling for Mitt Romney's tax returns! Now this is stupidity becasue do they really want to go down this road. The republicans appear to be timid and weak when calling for an investigation into this mans birth certificate but the dems have no shame in thier game when calling for tax returns! Something is very very wrong here. If Mitt Romney had not paid taxes they, the dem, would have known that. So republicans need to call for investigation into the birth certificate, which we are pretty sure is a forgery, and then we can compare documents to determine which one is fake and which one is real.
"Birthers", "Homophobes", This is the standard tactic of the left, just as anybody who disagrees with the Impostor in Chief is a racist.
They cannot have this be an issue because they would have to admit they totally dropped and then lost the ball. It's a matter of standing up for the constitution and the rule of law to which all with exception have thrown out the window.
It's not just the Left calling anyone who brings up the question a "Birther".
On another political site I have been regulated to the bowls of the Earth for suggesting that push the issue. They don't seem to understand that every piece of legislation that The Obamanation has signed would be null and void. That includes the ACA.
You are right the hypocrisy here is incredible, and disgusting, the bottom line is the liberals do one thing right and is to stay on message (as ridiculous as it is) and the republicans have a tendency to say one thing and then cave to pressure from the media, and from the liberals, this is going to be a test for romney if he caves and releases more taxes he will prove my point.
The trouble is that is just too much logic for the left Mitt. They don't see it as punishing success or even punishing themselves. They see it as 'fairness'.
"Punishing success" resonates. I think Obama will be scrambling before the debates. Mitt has a real charge against Obama that he just wants to destroy everything he comes in contact with and the tax thing just enhances that message. Romney would NEVER release his tax records right away. I wouldn't be surprised if he let Obama's message get out so that he can't take it back before the debates.
Great interview. Also I really like Glenn Reynolds ideas about closing Hollywood loopholes:
http://washingtonexaminer.com/sunday-reflection-repeal-the-hollywood-tax-cuts/article/2503964
Bottom line: If you want to punish success, vote for obama. That's the election in a nutshell in my opinion. Then I could add...if you want higher taxes on everyone (that pay taxes), if you want to see more government intervention in our everyday life, if you want more frustrating measures coming out of Congress...vote for obama. If you want to give this country a chance to recover from four years of massive spending with almost nothing to show for it, vote for Mitt Romney.
Well-said. I might add:
If you want this country to be utterly destroyed, vote for Obama.
