Rubio protested by the Tea Party over immigration reform

Marco Rubio spoke last night in Florida at the St. Lucie County Lincoln Day Dinner and had a bevy of Tea Partiers outside the event protesting him over his immigration reform bill, saying they felt betrayed by Rubio.

Watch to the end for a little surprise:

I’m like Mark Levin in that I still like Rubio and believe he has the noblest of intentions. Yet he has gone further with immigration reform than I had predicted he would. In fact I think he has gone too far in that he has hurt himself with many conservatives, like those in the Tea Party protesting him.

I’ve always said my ‘red line’ on Rubio, if you will, was contingent on him voting ‘yea’ for this ‘bipartisan’ immigration reform bill. In other words, once he’s crossed that line I’m not sure I can support him any longer. He seems to be marching hard in that direction too.

We’ll see how it goes but the prognosis doesn’t seem very good for Rubio at this point.
