Rush heard this morning that Eric Cantor has invited Nancy Pelosi to sit with him tonight at the SOTU. I really hope that isn’t true and it will piss me off if I see that on camera tonight. But the bigger issue is that instead of the Republicans being in offense mode, they are in defense mode over this civility narrative that the Democrats and the MSM are pushing. Even the SOTU has been turned into some prom-type event where everyone is talking about who is going to sit with who because that’s the civil thing to do, when in reality Republicans should be standing together against the enemy that is the radical Democrat party. Instead of strength we are getting mushy Republicans and while it’s all ‘rhetorical’, if you will, it makes me wonder if they will be able to stand strong when it really matters on the issue of legislation.
We want to see strength from Republicans at all times. Stop letting the Democrats define the debate and treat them like the ones who just spent the last 4 years spending this country into oblivion.
