Capping revenue at 21% and capping expenditures at 22, only in government would you spend more than you receive and try to make it sound like a good idea.

HERE’S MY TEA PARTY PLAN:
- Suspend income tax for 4 years.
- End minimum wage to increase hiring.
- Remove job killing regulations and rules.
- Let younger people (25 and younger) opt out of social security withholding.
- Bring our troops home from the over 100 bases and sale those bases.
- End the department of energy.
- End the department of education.
- End the department of agriculture.
- Wind down welfare and jobless payments.Without a minimum wage and income tax withholding, more people will be employed and they’ll keep most of their money.
- We must encourage hiring over welfare.
- We must let the people keep their wealth instead of redistributing it.After the 4 year plan, if everything is good, then you abolish the I.R.S and repeal the income tax and move on to bigger objectives. This is what we could do to move forward.

I like it. Not being complicated enough would be the only problem.

really there’s like 80% of the debt commision’s report that i can get behind… in the long run we’ll have to get rid of the department of education and department of agriculture and the national edowment of the arts… etc… but i do think its a rather good jumping off point. paul ryan and other very serious minded fiscal conservatives are on the debt commision and i don’t think it’s as bad as rush seems to think it is. why would nancy pelosi and other libs be so incredibly outraged by it if it wasn’t, at least mostly, a good thing?
I heard about the Debt Commission’s surprise release of their report yesterday and at a glance (what I heard on the news) didn’t sound to bad. But I haven’t had time to dig into it, and apparently it’s got major problems according to Rush. He says that this report at its base tries to lock in both high revenues and high spending which raises the bar on the expectations of what future congresses will spend:
