I’m sorry, I am totally confused following your comments with Mickey and Caduceus- are you saying that if you have something to say and it differs from the majority of what others say here than you have to say it with proof that you deem valid or the person that is commenting is lying? Maybe there are rules that I missed when I signed on…if so then I apologize because I thought we could state our thoughts and opinions as we each “see” or “understand” things…let me know how I am missing this…I know I only agree with some on here on some issues and more on others and none on some of the issues…thanks!

Look, you’re over thinking this. I don’t mind people who are intellectually honest. But I have to draw the line somewhere. When people say stuff just to incite other people, then they have become trolls and they are not welcome.

More importantly, Mickey just lied. He would constantly tell everyone who was willing to read his wall of texts that he was a conservative, just not one of the looneys. Yet, he has never taken a single conservative stance the entire time he’s been on this site. Simply, he was a guy claiming to be a conservative so he could make his points w/o people branding him as your average liberal.
I will miss occassionaly educating Mickey on history from time to time, but oh well.
Just in case anyone feels RS did something wrong here let me just run down the list of things that pop into my mind that Mickey would argue for while behind the fake name of conservatism. Mind you, none of these things makes a person a conservative and I’m not saying he’s wrong on all of them, but you’d think a conservative would be on the other side of at least one of these issues. 1. Hates Palin. 2. Loves Meghan McCain. 3. Was strongly rooting against Rand Paul and Joe Miller. 4. Believes in the “wall” of seperation. 5. Just congratulated Senator Sanders for “tearing the attempt to appease the rich to pieces.” You know, the socialist senator. The last one really takes the cake. How anyone who has a conservative bone in their body can support ANYTHING that Sanders supports is beyond me.
I applaud RS. If you want to be a liberal then be a liberal. Don’t like about your political leanings in order to gain favor though.

Actually Bernie Sanders (though I agree with very little he has done)has confronted Bernake questioning “WHERE is THE MONEY?” you can find several videos on you tube if you are interested.
Palin also showed support to John McCain and he is seriously considered a RHINO the last time I checked but that little fact is overlooked by many…but to me it sends up a caution flag about her.
I think it is good to have a variety of input-it helps to sharpen your own personal views but it also helps you to “see” where others are coming from. Diversity of opinion is good! Otherwise what is the point of talking -just to hear an echo?
Personally, I think Beck would wholeheartedly approve of the varying opinions because it gives one an opportunity to persuade someone if possible and sometimes you learn things from what others with differing views have.
As a Christian though I try to be careful that I don’t sacrifice my spiritual convictions on the altar of politics.

You just totally missed the last part of my statement. I’m perfectly fine with hearing difference of opinion. Great. However, Mickey was constantly lying about his political leanings in order to gain favor around here and get people to listen him. Then man is a straight liberal in almost every sense and yet he continued to call himself a “mainstream conservative.” There is no need to debate people who open the debate with a lie, is there?

Boehner is leading that congress. He is an establishment globalist. A flat tax, fair tax, etc will never be considered by our criminal government because they control groups of people through the IRS. They even use the tax code as welfare distribution. The only fair tax is that which everybody pays the same percentage across the board. They need the tax code we have to keep people arguing in politics, and to use as a political asset. With a flat tax, there would be no political posturing. They like having something that they can use to come down on people with. If they keep it confusing, they can pretty much bust whoever they want, because nobody can ever really get it right.

watch it again and this time listen to him, he says why, i don’t want it to pass either since what they added to it in the senate is more pork and other assorted horse hockey. this is why we need to force congress to make 1 subject bills, not adding on things unrelated that would not make it on it’s own merit.

Glad Rush is on board, Republicans just experienced a huge victory Nov 2, and right away the leadership reverts to business as usual, deficit spending and tax increases! There should be NO compromise on the Bush tax plan, and it should be made permanent. The govt had ten years to adjust to the Bush tax plan, but didn’t. These “cocktail party” Republicans have not learned and will be shown the door in 2012. Americans voted for NO MORE DEFICIT SPENDING AND TAX INCREASES, PERIOD!!!!

Loose mortgage lending standards sunk the economy. People who should not have been homeowners are now in foreclosure.
Who ran Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Who wouldn’t mandate tougher underwriting standards? Who is halting foreclosures of mortgage defaults?
Rush has now firmly placed himself in the “This deal is bad for America and Republicans’ corner. Rush says this deal is nothing but a bailout for the economic mess the Democrats have put this country in, and if we sign onto this mess continuing we will get blamed for it. But more importantly, this deal stands against everything the American people said with this last election because it’s nothing but more borrowing and spending.
