Rush says that it isn’t like it used to be that when the economy tanks it is automatically blamed on the current president by the electorate. With more and more people on entitlement programs like food stamps, not as much pain is being felt by people who are unemployed or underemployed in this bad economy and that Romney needs to figure out quick that he can’t just win on the economy being bad the way it is now.

This probably makes the most sense to me of almost anything I’ve heard lately on why Romney can’t win by default with a terrible economy and it ties right in with what Bill Kristol was saying yesterday about Romney’s theory of how to win this campaign. I’d say Romney’s gotten some great advice in the last few days and I really hope he capitalizes on it. He’s proved to us several times that he really wants to win and it’s time for him to prove it again.
