Rush: Obama committing over 1% of GDP to UN for climate change

Rush says that he has his guy down in Cancun at the big Climate Change Summit, and that he has spoken to Lord Monckton who is also there. If you don’t remember Lord Monckton from Beck’s show last year, see this. Apparently Lord Monckton has seen the draft version of the final agreement that will come from this summit, and reports that the US delegation has committed annually to pay one and a half percent of GDP (which equals currently over $210 billion/yr) to the UN to help fight climate change. Rush says that this is above and beyond the dues we already pay:

This is simply ridiculous. According to Heritage, the UN is already charging us $100 million more than in 2009 for peacekeeping, and Obama apparently didn’t seem to care. Now he is committing us for an additional $210 billion per year? That’s insane!

On a slightly different note, I found this interview/debate that the UK Guardian’s John Vidal held with Lord Monckton. It’s very interesting, as Lord Monckton tears apart Vidal’s ‘religious devotion’ to climate change. Give it a listen:
