Rush: Our brainiac president tells the world “peace is hard”

Rush opened up his radio show today with a montage from Obama’s UN speech where he told the world in no uncertain terms that “peace his hard”, about six times. I think what made me laugh a little was the defeated way in which Obama sounded a few times when he said the phrase. It’s like he’s just coming to that conclusion after a rough three years.

Obama then proceeds to say something that makes no sense to Rush, given reality:

This has been a remarkable year. The Qadhafi regime is over. Gbagbo, Ben Ali, and Mubarak are no longer in power. Osama bin Laden is gone, and the idea that change could only come through violence has been buried with him. Something is happening in our world. The way things have been is not the way they will be.

Hasn’t Libya been embroiled in a civil war for the better part of this year? And didn’t the US help in that endeavor? And even Egypt didn’t force Mubarak down by protesting quietly in the night. It’s like Obama thinks that his words can defy reality or something.

Obama is a complete embarrassment. I’m surprised he didn’t bow to the UN while he was up there.
