This is from yesterday’s radio show. I am also including Rush’s reading of George Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation:

Rush glossed over the details (it is radio) but he was largely accurate. The burden of self reliance and property ownership (and maintaining it) started the ball rolling afa wealth creation. No one is going to look out for you like you! No one will do the job like it needs to be done like you! And when you have personal interests at stake and family that relies on you..well that is a major impetus alone.

“It’s the fear of failure, as much as the dream of success, that motivates us all to work hard, compete, and succeed. If life holds no perils, there’s little to get us out of bed in the morning… …for most of us it’s the fear of bad outcomes, as much as the lure of reward that impels our labor.” -Dick Morris

Great thanksgiving story. Rush is #1 for a reason.

Rush is wrong at the end when he says a president couldn’t say what Washington did. He left out “Republican”. A Democrat president could say it because everybody knows he wouldn’t really mean it.
