Rush explains how Schumer is setting the Democrats up to win over this debt ceiling. Schumer is painting it as the fight of all fights; the fight over big government, one that he’s willing to go to the mat over. But Rush says that from everything he’s hearing, Boehner is willing to let this one go so that he can get to the Paul Ryan budget fight. If Boehner does that, then Schumer can say he’s won.
It’s a strategy, Rush says, that is based on Boehner not wanting to fight it out over this one. But it is a huge opportunity and Rush believes Boehner should make him fight, that he should make him defend joblessness and trillion dollar budget deficits.
It’s an easy one to win, Rush says, if we’ll just fight.
