If we can’t get 67 DeMint’s, how about 33.5 DeMint’s and 33.5 Rubio’s?
How about one person to say of Obama’s call for a “balanced” approach – Whoopie, great idea, balance, let’s see your list of spending cuts? What department of the government are you going to cut or close? Because up to this point you spend two years campaigning on tax increases and two years as President talking about them. It will be great to hear you finally give us some balance. Where is your list?

Because he is not part of the republican establishment. And actually wants to fix things and not just kick the can down the road hoping it goes into the street drain and the people at home will forget about it…I’m here to say… we are not going to forget about it we are watching and we are taking notes and those notes are what we will use to keep track of the people we put into office

Yet, I think they both have it wrong. Taxes do create jobs in the public sector. Jobs that are non-value added to grow the government weight on the taxpayers. What taxes were meant to do is pay for things that do add value like pay for defense contracts, build roads, build public utilities,etc…but what Obama has done is just hire more people to work in the government that do not create wealth but just act as a further drain on the taxpayer.

I call those revenue negative jobs.
They cost tax revenues to create…and they require additional tax revenues to keep them.In the private sector, businesses often increase their payrolls during good times.
But during economic downturns…they have to cut their payrolls.
They also have to cut benefits and cut unnecessary expenditures.Government needs to adopt the same rationale.

It seems like the progressives are just trying to reverse-engineer the Soviet Union or some-such. I think it’s working. Failure is right around the corner, prosperity(?), on indefinite sabbatical.
China is heading in the direction that we are heading away from. How brilliant is that? Well, for them it’s quite brilliant…for us, disastrous. We ought to all pitch in and get 537 or so “Stuck on Stupid” T-Shirts, send them to DC and grant wearing-waivers to folks like Rubio from time to time

I have loved Marco from the moment I saw his farewell speech to the Florida Legislature when he had to leave because of term limits. I have supported him from the beginning. He ought to be POTUS someday. I love his fearless passion to right what’s wrong in D.C. We need to elect more people like him and Allen West in 2012.
I believe that 2012 is our last stand to turn back that tsunami of Marxofacisim that
Obama brought in with him and that is threatening to drown all of us.
For now, we have good people, like Marco Rubio, who is taking the fight directly to Obama in his speech here.

What I liked best about the Rubio speech is with all of the things which are on the table, we should ask of each of them, “how many jobs would that create”, and that “all bad ideas should be off the table”. Good stuff.
Yep, there is much to like about Rubio. I hope he and likeminded others sway the old guard to his way of thinking, and that O’s numbers get lower and lower.

Please God, keep Senator Rubio and his family in your close care. He is a man of integrity and honor. I’ve watched him for years as he spoke when he was in the House of Rep. He always showed drive and incorruptible conviction to make our state better. He’s driven. He’s honest and he’s True Blue!

I echo your sentiment for his safety and Protection. I’m proud to say that he’s my Senator. This speech makes me wish for more people like him in Washington, and if 2010 was any indication, there will be more “real-world people” in Congress in 2012.
His message is simple, direct and truthful. Every new tax, or for that matter, any new regulation needs to pass his test: How many jobs will this produce? If no one knows, or if the answer is zero, then that’s proof that it doesn’t need to be enacted.

PLEASE Marco Rubio RUN FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!! NOT Vice President…President!!!!! He actually makes sense….he has a plan….is he the only one who truly has a plan, the only who gets how America works in a republic??????? I love this guy!!!! Stop spending, don’t tax the already burden average American….geesh….it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see what Rubio says is what needs to be said and DONE. No Obama rhetoric….no plan by Obama….if Rubio could lead this country we could head out of this mess.
Rush says that Republican leadership is talking about loop holes and revenues when they should be urging the President to live within a Congressional budget by not raising the debt limit and asking the President to make the needed cuts as painless as possible. But then he plays a clip by Marco Rubio which to date must be his best moment in the Senate. Rubio quickly gets to the root of the problem by saying that the real problem is jobs and that by fixing that problem we begin to fix everything else including debt and revenues. He adds that if the President wants to raise revenues, Republicans agree and they should move to help create an environment where people will create jobs. That’s how you solve the problem and that’s how you frame the argument.
