Even if Romney’s mitten-in-mouth comment from this morning are quoted in context, Rush says he still has a problem with it:
But I even have a problem with this in context. …The ‘safety net’ is one of the biggest cultural problems we’ve got. We had better be worried about it just like we had better get angry over ObamaCare. ObamaCare is worth getting mad about. Mitt said that it wasn’t. …The safety net is contributing to the destruction of their humanity and their futures.
He also goes on to point out that while the conventional wisdom is that Newt will say stupid things and make the campaign all about himself against Obama, this quote from Romney seems to suggest he’ll do the same thing.
