I can see the LSM headlines now:
“Santorum Makes Personal Attack On Gingrich: ‘I Didn’t Sit On A Couch With Anybody Other Than My Wife’”
- jollyjellybean
Well, SOMEBODY’s got to say it. tee hee. JS. (Now don’t get all wee-weed up Newt supporters). Seriously, I love Newt, but how could he have been so WRECKLESSLY stupid about something so patently obvious? Could it have been a case of playing politics based on the percieved beliefs of the country? (pandering) Not on a fundamental faith foundation employed wherein one would instinctivly understand we have no control over the weather? Regardless of the latest fashion trends?
I pick Rick!!
- Nukeman60
‘…WRECKLESSLY stupid… – jjb
One would think that if you’re going to call someone recklessly stupid, that you would spell it right so that you don’t appear to be fecklessly stupid.
On the note about the couch. What happened when the Democrats made a healthcare bill without letting the Republicans sit on the couch. If the liberals were going to make policy dealing with climate change, wouldn’t you want a conservative sitting on the panel with them to make sure they didn’t do what Obamacare did?
- kssturgis62
An all one has to do is go to Youtube and you will see how Newt testified before Congress slamming Al Gore. But those who don’t look and educate themselves are just scared – because their minds can’t handle the TRUTH.
- Reckoner_3
all I see on Youtube is Newt Gingrich slamming conservative ‘ rubes ‘ for objecting to Global warming while kissing John Kerry’s and the GLobal WArmist’s BUTTS
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IYv9yd3_3HA
but those who don’t look and educate themselves are just scared – because their minds can’t handle the TRUTH.
BWAHAHAHA that’s rich
Newt in 2007 slammed skeptics , that’s the truth!
He wrote Contract with the EARTH. He didn’t jump on this fad. He’s been embracing this alarmism since the late 80′s.
” he does nothing from conviction or reason, but does all FROM AN ANALYSIS OF PERSONAL ADVANTAGE ”
That’s why he gets away with his website explaining all his flip flops.
http://i1139.photobucket.com/albums/n550/Timber_Rattler/NEWT-CapTrade.jpg
He supported Cap and Trade in 2007.That’s on the record, except instead of REWRITING his history and calling people liars.
- Reckoner_3
On the note about the couch. What happened when the Democrats made a healthcare bill without letting the Republicans sit on the couch. If the liberals were going to make policy dealing with climate change, wouldn’t you want a conservative sitting on the panel
Then why did Newt Gingrich call it, “the stupidest thing he did in the past few years?” if you believe a perfectly sound reason to do it, as you so believe?
Sounds like you fell for the COMMON GROUND REvisionist history “what I meant was I wanted a dialogue”
Tell me why Newt supported big government cap and trade.
It’d be a little more worthy of respect if he just said I screwed up and move on, but not feed his supporters with faulty logic.
He was power broking among the left after he alienated his party…that’s all there is to it.
There is no reason for him to sit on the couch or talk with John Kerry. Just accept that Newt Gingrich flirted with the left and that isn’t something to discount..
He was sold on the Global Warming Alarmism and he has to live with it along with his other ship jumping.
- Nukeman60
I think the ‘stupidest thing he did’ as he said, was make a commercial with Pelosi. You don’t get your views out there in a 30 second soundbite commercial, but it gets replayed over and over again.
‘Sounds like you fell for the COMMON GROUND REvisionist history “what I meant was I wanted a dialogue‘ – reckoner
Sounds like you fell for the ‘he’s in bed with Pelosi’ dialogue.
‘As for your reference to Obamacare?? and following Newt’s example of couch sitting with Pelosi?
What the heck kind of rationale? is that?!? ‘ – reckonerThe rationale is that Obamacare is what happens when they are allowed their way, whether we had numbers or not. Learn from history. It’s what they will do if they can.

At least Newt never actually wrote legislation with Barbara Boxer promoting “Open Space”, an attack on property rights.
- Reckoner_3
He’s used that line before on the stump.
No biggie. Gingrich sat on a couch with pelosi he has to live with it.
Oh yeah, and they touched knees to boot!
- sandynsavannah
Newt Gingrich is a conservative environmentalist.
A quality I greatly value in him and I believe that independents will find it attractive too.
One of the many qualities that makes Newt the MOST ELECTABLE of the group.GASP!…he works with demorats to get things done ; )
PS The Tea party also loves the environment…just compare the aftermath from a Tea Party Rally site to an OWS demonstration site.

Wow Santorum is doing really good in AZ! Looks like he’s feels good, energetic, sounds very confidence and ready for the debate! GAME ON CANDIDATES!
I saw on foxnews studio b showed a sign in the crowd where Santorum was speaking and it said “Drudge is for Mitt! AZ is for Rick!
- stevenbiot
I can’t wait to see Santorum do work tonight!
- stevenbiot
He’s going to make a great president. The couch comment about Gingrich is priceless! Santorum is hungry to lead by getting out of our way; I’m all for that. I would be pleased to have a Christian at the helm. Christians created the most tolerant, free, and hospitable country in world history; so, they have a good track record.
- lostdutchman
If memory serves, Jimmy Carter was a good Christian, too.
…. just a not so good President.

RICK SANTORUM IS RIGHT: SATAN HAS TARGETED AMERICA
Presidential candidate Rick Santorum has been attacked for comments he made regarding the moral condition of the United States. Santorum claims America is under a satanic attack. Is he right?
Gallop tells us “Regardless of political belief, religious inclination, education, or region, most Americans believe that the devil exists.” Not only is Santorum right biblically speaking, 70% of Americans agree that there is some kind of satanic reality.
It’s liberal, skeptical critics that have a lot of explaining to do. How do they explain the decline in morality? Of course, because skeptics are moral relativists they have no fixed standard of right or wrong. Morality is reduced to doing whatever you can get away with. Without any knowledge of what is moral they can’t enter a discussion about the reality of good or evil.
But most Americans aren’t so foolish to pretend that evil does not exist. It is brutally self-evident every day in the news, both locally and internationally. Skeptics are reduced to fools in the face of horrifying reality of wickedness.
Some dismiss Satan as an antiquated myth. But the most influential moral philosopher in the history of the world took Satan and his existence very seriously and literally. So, do we agree with Jesus Christ or not? After you raise yourself from the dead your opinion will carry much more weight. In the meantime it’s best to concur with the one who actually defeated Satan.
If there is no Satan, how do you account for evil? You only have a few options. Do you attribute evil to mere human failings or do you attribute it to God? If you deny the existence of Satan then you end up demonizing either man or God. This is neither good anthropology nor good theology. The biblical explanation of a real, personal Devil is best and correct, even if some mystery is left unresolved.
Does Satan have infernal designs against America? One would imagine he does, but not just against America. The biblical doctrine is clear. There are real, dark geo-political spiritual forces.
In Daniel 10 we read of the mysterious spiritual princes or czars of Persia and of Greece. The New Testament speaks repeatedly of mysterious unseen “powers and authorities” in heavenly places. These powers must have some jurisdiction, otherwise they would have no authority.
Exactly where these unexplained jurisdictions stop and start isn’t clear. But, is it plausible to think that Satan is indifferent to the fate of nations, especially the most powerful one in the world?
The gospel is clear on this matter. It teaches that God is not merely concerned with individuals and their souls. Jesus will judge both individuals and nations. He will separate nations, either as either sheep or goats, based wholly on how a nation treats Hhis people (Matthew 25:31-46). So satanic inspired wickedness, injustice and persecution will affect the fate of nations and doom them.
Santorum is well within mainstream historic Christianity to assert there is a real spiritual being called the Devil or Satan and that he does have geo-political machinations. So what must Americans do to defeat any satanic attack?
First, we must affirm the reality of the situation. “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (1 Peter 5:8) Charles Baudelaire reminds us “the devil’s best trick is to persuade you that he doesn’t exist!” Then we must “Resist him, steadfast in the faith.” (1 Peter 5:9) “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:7-8)
May God grant us a national spirit of repentance and may the President of the United States lead the way.

Ask these questions about Rick Santorum:
1. How has he earned a living since he had a job (as a Senator)? Answer, he has been (gasp) lobbying and engaging in other DC political activities, such as holding breakfasts for congress to meet his clients. And he made 900 big ones last year doing it.
2. Will Rick Santorum deal with the serious issue of the FED and currency instability/value and Soros et al, manipulations of our economy?
3. Will Rick Santorum buck the establishment and deal with term limits, insider trading, etc?
4. Will Rick Santorum deal with Labor’s steel-fisted, corrupt, malevolent hold on our economy and politics?
Those are a just a few….

Romney can change anything he wants to his platform, why should we believe him?
At least we know what we’re getting from Rick – we know this because the press understand what they’re getting from Rick: “Oh my Gosh he actually believes in conservatism!! in the Constitution!! in his faith!! “

“[Romney] a well oiled weathervane ”
“Just sayin ” – Rick
Hope Rick starts becoming a happy warrior

Let me get this straight. Sitting on a couch, in an ad- then vociferously speaking out in opposition to Gore’s scam- and later, repeatedly saying it was his worst mistake is somehow more damning than 1. supporting Arlen Specter over Pat Toomey, 2. campaigning for Specter, and 3. Specter’s vote being pivotal in the passage of 0care?

Wonder hwy it has been blocked……….could it be that Scripts-Howard owns and publishes several (Including the Boulder, (CO) Daily Camera) left-leaning newspapers? HUM? must be a co-incidence!
This is a short highlight reel from Santorum’s speech in Arizona today that emphasizes a few great things he said in his speech (thanks in part to @ByronYork’s tweets). And it starts with Santorum acknowledging the similarity in Romney’s new tax plan to his own:
I just saw today that Governor Romney announced that he was gonna be lowering the tax rates to, well, the tax rates I proposed. Welcome to the party, Governor, it’s great to have you along.
Sounds like a debate preview right there. And there’s other good stuff in the clip below, including a nice smack-down of the intolerance of the statists and a jab at the ‘secular media’.
Here’s the full clip:
