Santorum made clear he isn’t going to play the game where he is responsible for what his supporters say. And clearly, he didn’t much care for the joke either (unlike me who thought it was hilarious!) referring to it as a ‘stupid joke’. Here’s his reaction on Greta:

UPDATE: Santorum was on CBS This Morning with Charlie Rose, and he went after Rose for playing these ‘gotcha’ media games trying to make him responsible for his supporter’s comments. When Rose defended himself, Santorum nailed him with Obama and Rev. Wright:
