Sarah Palin: If I lived in S.C. I’d vote for Newt

Sarah Palin says she wants to see the vetting continue and because of that she would vote for Newt in South Carolina this weekend. I’m not sure if her focus is Newt getting vetted more or that he is the best to vet Romney. Honestly, aside from Romney, I think they’ve all been vetted quite well at this point and I’d rather see us unify behind a candidate in the next couple of weeks. But despite her saying she’d vote for Newt, she still wouldn’t endorse a candidate.

She also clearly believes he won the debate last night, despite how well she thought Perry and Santorum did.

UPDATE: It just dawned on me why Palin said she’d vote for Newt last night, and it’s simply because if Romney wins it will be demoralizing for the party and others may jump out feeling like Romney is a shoe-in. That’s certainly what the pundits will say. But if Newt wins it proves this election is still wide open and thus it all continues.
