Contrary to what I've been hearing on the news lately, platforms do mean something. If they meant nothing, why bother to fashion them at all? It is supposed to represent what those in the party stand for.
The Democrat party stands for things God opposes, such as abortion and now the farce called 'homosexual marriage'. It is no wonder the majority of those at the convention wanted God's Name removed from their godless platform and refused to acknowledge Jerusalem as a place God gave to His chosen people, the Jews.
Our military needs a new Commander in chief- one who loves America and one who holds Israel in high regard.
The only "good" thing about Obama is that he is a great orator. You gotta give him that. All truly great liars make great orators. The worst "bad" thing about Americans is that they are very gullible and ever ready to swallow lies. If this guy gets another terms, then I will truly believe in that December 20, 2012 doomsday prophecy.
Instead of waiting for the media and conservatives to pressure the DNC to change their stance on GOD and Israel the so called Believer Democrats (really an oxymoron) need to see the light about who and what they are throwing their support behind. It is time to make a grown up decision, it is time to make truck load of grown up decisions. The party is over, time to clean up.
Being a retired SFC form the United States Army, I am often offended when any politician tries to affect a patriotic response aimed at getting elected, only to turn their backs on those (myself included) who are willing to sacrifice all so that freedom will live on. I think that all politicians should be required to visit a Soldiers Retirement home once a year and look in the face of those that gave their all to this country. I have visited the retirement home in Indiana more than once to say thank you and that I understand the sacrifices they have made. Tears will not trickle down your face; the tears will flow in a constant stream when you visit. (that is if you have a heart)
Often times our great veterans are in these homes because they have no one else left on earth that cares about them. Look up the locations of these homes on Google and if you live near one .....go visit! It will be one of the best things you will do all year.
Threads can go off the rail easily. As the father of a USMC combat boot 1 year back from Afghan this thread was about troops not politicians. Don't reply "thank your son for his service" because he put his ass on the line because he could can care less.
My son also came back from that horrible war unlike many of his buddies. My son came back without any visible injuries but he has many unseen wounds. While your son may have no visible wounds he has them none the less. Obama is the worst possible person we could have as president and the military and the citizens have all paid a terrible price for his solisiptec ineptitude.
agreed, we speak of the same thing. mine is adjusting to college, annoyed by the OWS types. putting buddies on a medevac under fire as a teenager does that.

Obama also doesn't seem that concerned about the possibility of almost a trillion dollars being cut from the military under the upcoming sequestration budget cuts after the election. Even his own Secretary of Defense says these cuts would be catastrophic to the military and must be stopped, unless you want a military that is even smaller than the one we had just prior to World War II (and at the start of that war, we all saw what a terrible cost we paid for that). We live in dangerous times and to have Obama play chicken with our national defense is just terrible. He should be voted out of office on that alone.

hestesh, it took me about two minutes on that ridiculous site to realize what a waste of time it was. Conservatives for Palin is a denigration to the beauty and the wonder of what Sarah Palin represents to the rest of us.
Why don't you let deTocqueville speak for himself? He is the one who made a disparaging remark about Hannity. Of all the Conservative talk show hosts out there, Hannity is the most fair of all of them. He goes out of his way to allow the Left a platform to speak.
