Sarah Palin tweeted just a few moments ago that DC needs to grow up and get to work, that Americans are tired of one ginned up crisis after another:

Amen.

UPDATE: Sarah Palin decided to elaborate on her tweet on her FaceBook:

D.C.: Cut the Drama. Do Your Job.

Americans are sick and tired of yet another ginned-up crisis. D.C. needs to grow up, get to work, and live within its means. The real economic Armageddon looming before us is our runaway debt, not the sequester, which the President advocated for and signed into law and is now running around denouncing because he never had any genuine intention of reining in his reckless spending.

Remember that this sequestration deal came about because of the long debt ceiling standoff in the summer of 2011. It wasn’t the ideal outcome for anyone, but it did at least include real deficit reduction of about $110 billion per year for 10 years, which is still nowhere near enough to close our massive deficit. Keep in mind that since the sequester passed, the President has already hit American families and small business owners with his tax increases, or “more revenue” as he likes to call it. The American public doesn’t want tax increases; we want government to rein in its overspending.

If we can’t stomach modest cuts that would lower federal spending by a mere 0.3% per year out of a current federal budget of $3.6 trillion, then we might as well signal to the whole world that we have no serious intention of dealing with our debt problem.

If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when we’re running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then we’re done. Put a fork in us. We’re finished. We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.

If we ARE serious about putting our fiscal house in order, then let’s stop the hysterics, tighten our belts, and take our medicine.

It's pretty obvious Sarah just ruined any chance of her ever running for president with her stockpiling ammo thing. She talks about the president creating civil unrest and what is she doing? She talks about the president creating civil unrest and what is she doing?

It's also pretty obvious she relieves the GOP of any responsibility here. Once again she is very wrong in that the majority of Americans want taxes raised on the very wealthy. I don't know who is writing her speeches for her anymore but they should really start paying attention to what is going on in America.

This is the only person with a voice who is sticking up for the American people. All the ones who supposedly were have turned out to be fakes and phonies. Gov. Palin is the only one who hasn't caved. Shame on voters for not supporting her for President. You deserve what you get. God bless you Gov. Palin.

I love this woman's plain and simple speak. May the good Lord Bless her and her family.

May she continue to be a Thorn in the side of both parties. !

This woman has more balls than all the Republican senators. Rand Paul votes for Hagel because Obama won the Presidency. What if he appoints Putin to a cabinet position? Do you vote in the affirmative, Runaway Paul?

If only Sarah had been our nominee. The GOP made sure she would not get in. They started on her right from the get-go, from within the GOP. I was so mad I could've spit nails. She was gracious. I would've slapped them silly, had I seen any of them face to face. Another reason we have to get rid of Karl Rove, et al.

Voters are to blame. If they had supported her she would have ran-I believe it heart and soul.

Well said. As usual Gov. Palin gets right to the point. There is really no excuse for the government people (in both parties) to be acting this way. And as Rush said today, they're not really cutting ANYTHING, just slowing the rate of increase. If the country can't handle this, we're finished.

For what it's worth; Sarah pointed out what is really going on with Obama and his diversionary tactics one year ago. She was right on target then and a year later absolutely nothing has changed!!!

"Let’s Talk About the Real Issues, Mr. President"

by Sarah Palin on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 7:41pm ·

The far Left continues to believe American voters are not smart enough to grasp the diversionary tactics it employs to distract us from the issues our President just doesn’t want to talk about – issues that affect us all every day and must be addressed.

Exhibit A in these diversionary tactics is an absurd new attack ad President Obama has released taking my comments out of context. I’m not running for any office, but I’m more than happy to accept the dubious honor of being Barack Obama’s “enemy of the week” if that includes the opportunity to debate him on the issues Americans are actually concerned about. (Remember when I said you don’t need a title to make a difference?)

Just off the top of my head, a few of these concerning issues include: a debt crisis that has us hurdling towards a Greek-style collapse, entitlement programs going bankrupt, a credit downgrade for the first time in our history, a government takeover of the health care industry that makes care more expensive and puts a rationing panel of faceless bureaucrats between you and your doctor (aka a “death panel”), $4 and $5 gas at the pump exacerbated by an anti-drilling agenda that rejects good paying energy sector jobs and makes us more dependent on dangerous foreign regimes, a war in Afghanistan that seems unfocused and unending, a global presidential apology tour that’s made us look feeble and ridiculous, a housing market in the tank, the longest streak of high unemployment since World War II, private-sector job creators and industry strangled by burdensome regulations and an out-of-control Obama EPA, an attack on the Constitutional protection of religious liberty, an attack on private industry in right-to-work states, crony capitalism run amok in an administration in bed with their favored cronies to the detriment of genuine free market capitalism, green energy pay-to-play kickbacks to Obama campaign donors, and a Justice Department still stonewalling on a bungled operation that armed violent Mexican drug lords and led to the deaths of hundreds of innocent people.

I’m sure I missed a few things, but the list is just for starters. Along with millions of others, I’m willing and free to discuss these issues with the President anywhere, anytime. The President will dismiss all of these problems by saying, “Well, uh, ‘change isn’t easy.’” But considering that candidate Obama promised to turn back the waters and heal the planet, the American people had at least a reasonable expectation that, at the bare minimum, he wouldn’t bankrupt our country.

It shows that our President sure seems fearful of discussing the economy, energy prices, and all the other problems people need addressed. Barack Obama’s radical past associations and the radical philosophy that shaped his ideas about his promised “fundamental transformation” of our country, I welcome the media to join ordinary Americans in finally vetting Barack Obama. The media failed to do so in 2008 to the detriment of us all. Maybe this time around they can do their job.

If it's only .3% of annual spending why are so many folks saying 2% I wonder?

According to my calculator which accepts very large numbers, she is right. The answer, using her numbers came out to .003, which would be three tenths of one percent.

If the sequester is only 85 billion per year, it's even less than that. .0023 or two tenths of one percent. I guess some folks just don't know how to do percentages. It appears that Sarah does :-)

What a Conservative Warrior!!!! Even after these years she still scares the living heck out of Libtards! I think she scares them more then any other Conservative, even Rush. I hope she blows them away again at CPAC! Can't wait! God Bless Sarah Palin!

----------------

Just as we have said. The doom and gloom - and it's coming from both sides of aisle - is nothing but a desire to keep the government growing. We the People should welcome the spending cut. We have lived beyond our means for far too long. It's time to pay the Piper and that means we need to start withdrawing the Government teat and begin learning to fend for ourselves.

Here is another recent Palin quote..:)

"We are a country going bankrupt to fund a bloated, distant, and often corrupt federal government led by venal politicians more concerned with paying off their campaign cronies and consolidating their own power than in preserving the constitutional republic that so many have fought and died for."

  - Sarah Palin
