Chuck Schumer is suggesting that the ‘hard right’ is trying to discriminate against voters, saying that they are making a concerted effort to prevent people from voting. He even compares it to a racist poll tax (Radio Equalizer):

The hard right is really going at this right now and they’ve made a concerted movement to prevent people from voting in a variety of different ways. The worse way is they – you know, it’s no more that you can do a poll tax and say to black people its fifty dollars for you to vote for white people its fifty cents. There’s no more discrimination overt, but what they’ve done is they’ve come up with twenty different ways that make it much more difficult for people to vote.

Shumer is so far left it hurts.
No one pays a poll tax anywhere.
We are required to show voter ID in a small precinct where we all know each other and the poll workers…it is the American way.
    Vote Chuckie out, NY!

    • Anonymous

NY can’t vote him out. I find it hard to believe when people vote in California, Chicago, New Orleans, Detroit, NY, they think there vote actually still counts. These places are so corrupt that all you need to get elected is be Democrat and have no morals or honor and “Still” the election. These people are just in it for them self’s and we cannot let the minority control what the Majority wants anymore! We (the American People) have got to put our foot down and demand if these people buy their seats that they are the ones that should sit down and shut up.

Same as in the bible and book of Mormon (if you believe in it) when people from a corrupt city leaves and comes to a cleaner or not morally bankrupt town. The people from the corrupt town do not conform to the Morley clean people. Instead they tear them down and want them to become like the morally bankrupt people and city they left. We are in that stages since you have people leaving NY, Chicago, Detroit coming to a town near you. We have got to remain with our high standards and don’t let them tread on us. If they don’t conform Let them know in uncertain terms they are not welcome. They are not welcome to come and dismantle our values and our kids from within.

It’s clear your are a Mormon, and you better not talk like this:

        • Anonymous

It is clear you do not like mormons and you are very biased and uninformed about what mormons are or believe. and just from the way you talk i know you dont like the prophet joseph smith so i would appreciate it if you actually either opened your mind and talked to someone who properly knows what we believe or just not comment further. mormons have a good reason to fear the prejudice of people such as yourself especially from things that happened in the places you mentioned. maybe if other so called christians were as christian as they claimed to be and more open minded and as loving as christ was maybe there would be less problems between different religions and the mormons. every group of people and religion contains good and bad people. the christian bible has a very good pattern actually its shows all the violence and persecution of the followers of god especially from people that claimed to be looking forward to their messiah but yet they stoned and killed the prophets and it seems that so called christians are acting the same way today.

So, let me get this straight. In his argument to say we are stopping people from voting, he uses examples of what we don’t do. Is that right?

As far as needing an ID to be able to vote, I get a voter ID card in the mail every year that tells me I’m eligible to vote and where. Why would poor people have a hard time getting ID when they should have that piece of paper in their hands to start with. It’s such BS.

I spent most of my life in Chicago and people make a joke of voter fraud (pathetic). It is always the libs who advocate no identification and cloak themselves with the Constitution. A presidential election was stolen in 1960 when Richard J. Daley used the dead to push Kennedy over the top and is recognized as one of the greatest voting frauds in history. If any rights are being trampled, it is the rights American people.

WI as well… We have this wonderful same day registration thingy here. It’s just fabulous for the ‘get out the vote’ crowd. And only 3,700 voters were ‘suspect’ this last election. Why sweat over the fact that 1/3 of the voters registering the day of the election weren’t really eligible. It’s only 3700 votes.

Of course, our elections were so ‘close’ that we had to have a recount. Not to fear though, our guy prevailed with just a little over 1500 votes.

      Their logic is illogical.

    A few things:

1st, Republicans may be the party of NO. You belong to the party of lies.

2nd, How can I believe you when you have spent most of the last 3 years in propaganda and destroying the American Dream.

3ed, Republicans aren’t making it more difficult to vote, all they want to do is follow the Laws.

4th, The Right as you so elegantly put it. Does not want Mickey Mouse or Darth Vader to vote. Also They do not want Dead people voting, Or they don’t want 1 person voting in 10 different cities. So in essence the Republicans want a “Fair” election which gives you an “UN” – fair advantage because the people for the most part are done with you. The only way you guys are going to win is to still the election. Since you already (many people think) stole the last election, there just up on your game. The only people listening too you right now are the people died in the wool democrats, or communists.

5th; if you had any truth to what you are saying where is you “EVIDENCE”. So now you are no longer the party of lies you are also the party of “PROPAGANDA”, which more and more people see daily.

Can’t anyone read in to politicians these days. I also know of some Republicans that do this too. We have got to be aware and not only judge the left on comments such as corrupt as this politician obviously is. We also need to judge Republican or “the right” candidates as well and look past what they are saying. We all have the truth bug put in to us at birth, it is time to start using it and judging what Politian’s are actually saying, or judging if they are telling the truth.

Lies have become so prevalent in “DC” now days that if there were to be a whistle blower come out now a days. How many people would actually believe in the whistle blower now a days? We have got to demand that Politicians have “Honor” and “morels” because this is what you get when you don’t. The problem with that is look how many people actually believe this imbecile.

    • Anonymous

If this was actually true and he had proof (evidence) this would be the story of the century and it be the end as we know it of the Republican party. This is nothing but Propaganda. I guess we live in a day and age where we allow our politicians to say or do anything they want. We have officially become Rome. They have become god like and all we can do is beg for our scraps.

I wish someone on the right (In congress or the Senate) would call him on this and go on live TV and Debate him on this subject. People are hungry for the truth. Then he can either produce evidence of this or he will be proved to be the one who is just lies. That is if there are any lions in the Republican party. Are there any lions in the Republican party as of today?

      • Anonymous

That’s the problem. If a Republican said this, there would be calls (probably successful) for him to step down. A Democrat says it, and all we hear are crickets. Come on Boehner, stop crying and say something, for a change.

People are looking for a leader, Lead and they will follow you, I will follow you.

People are hungry for a voice and a “true” leader. One with Honesty, honor, and morals. All anyone has to do in this day and age is Honestly lead; without any underling agenda. We would follow and support them. If only!

Its my considered opinion that the voting privilege SHOULD be hard to earn. Most of the citizens in this country couldn’t pass the naturalization exams given to (legal) immigrants. The rest couldn’t find the capitol of their home state on a map. Too many would sell their vote for a bucket of KFC and a pack of Kools.
If only one thing in this country could be held sacred, it should be our vote.

  • Anonymous

Democrats invented the poll tax Dr. Demagogue.

Do theaters and banks discriminate against folks by preventing them from checking cashes or see R or X rated movies? They require picture ID’s too. So do pharmacies to fill a prescription and the post office to get mail held there. I also have to frequently show my ID to buy a bottle of wine. Parents have to show their ID’s to pick their kids up from school. The picture ID list goes on and on.

Is there something about getting a picture ID that is an extra hardship for minorities, or whoever it is this doofus is speaking of? I don’t think so. Either they never receive or spend money or foodstamps (which requires ID also to receive) or Schumer is simply lying. Suprised? Of course not.

Here’s the obvious theory. Folks without ID’s could vote repeatedly in several counties and even states. They can hide behind anonymity. Is that the goal? Was that also the goal of the Soros campaign to win as many secretary of state posts as possible? Sure it was/is.

Was that the goal of those standing trial in Troy, NY right now? I think there’s eight of them, with a couple of confessed fraudsters pleading guilty already for trying to steal an election. Some said it was perfectly acceptable up there to win an election in this fraudulent fashion. That it happens cycle after cycle.

Let’s see, how many of them were democrats? Oooh, all of them. Whatever this course is called, these actions must be considered par.

If these obviously divisive people are so concern about poor people voting (although they use the race card instead) then the state can give free photo ID to people making less than $XXXX per year.

Why do I throw that out there? Because when I have tried to dig into the issue of photo IDs further and voting the only thing that really prevents some people from having a photo ID is the cost. So all you liberal dividers that are in city or state government, give Photo IDs to people making less than some amount you come up with and the case is closed……but closing the case would take away one you your ways to play the race card so it probably wouldn’t happen.

Well, as a certified member of the Hard Right, I can attest to the verisimilitude of Schmucky Schumer’s words. Yes, I am trying to prevent some people from voting. Specifically, I am targeting convicted felons (I don’t believe that they deserve that kind of forgiveness; if they were so interested in being productive members of society, they wouldn’t've become violent felons, in the first place) and aliens, of all sorts, both legal and illegal. My campaign of discrimination against them is unapologetic, and I firmly believe that if you’re going to vote, you should have something certifying that not only are you a registered voter, but that you are who you claim to be. Being a liberal that’s so interested in state handouts, maybe you can sponsor a national bill that will not only require an ID of some sort, but one that will include a provision that gives low-to-no income applicants that are proven citizens (and non-felons) cut-rates on ID prices. Furthermore, I wouldn’t mind seeing a provision in that bill declaring voter fraud a felony meriting immediate arrest and prosecution by federal authorities.

  • Anonymous

Philadelphia showed election fraud in 08 with a couple of New Black Panthers guarding the doors to a polling place a nightstick. Holder compounded that situation by letting them go free when the conviction was a done deal. Schumer and the rest of the democrats are trying to disenfranchise legal voters by filling the voter rolls with illegals and multiple votes by single people. This ought to be considered a treasonous act by anyone who participates in this illegal act against the American people. By encouraging people to vote who are not legally allowed is an act attempting to overthrow the US government. That fits the definition below:

    trea·son   [tree-zuhn] noun

    1. the offense of acting to overthrow one’s government or to harm or kill its sovereign.

    2. a violation of allegiance to one’s sovereign or to one’s state.

    3. the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery.
