Sen. Carl Levin still trying to silence Rush Limbaugh

Even after his sincere apology, Democrats are still attacking Rush’s show, arguing that he should be removed from the Armed Forces Network:

POLITICO – The Armed Forces Network should stop broadcasting “The Rush Limbaugh Show,” Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Carl Levin said Wednesday amid a national uproar surrounding radio host Rush Limbaugh calling a law student a “slut” on the air last week.

“I would hope the people that run it see just how offensive this is and drop it on their own volition,” the Michigan Democratic senator told CNN.

While he said he would “love” to see the conservative radio show dropped from the network, which offers radio and TV shows to American service members in various parts of the world, and that he is “delighted” that advertisers have pulled their commercials from the program, Levin nonetheless noted that it isn’t necessarily up to Congress to force the network to stop airing the show.

“I think that is probably an issue that should be left to the folks that run that network,” he said. “In other words, I’d love to see them drop it but I don’t think I’d legislate it.”

This isn’t about the ‘slut’ remark. This is an attempt to pile on to a movement trying to silence Rush Limbaugh, because they hate Rush Limbaugh.

And that’s why this is war.

Rally for Rush!
