Listening now but I am curious as to your thoughts on JD as compared to Beck's opinion. You seem to share the same thoughts with me on a number of issues and you follow these things more closely.
I'm not in AZ so it really isn't my deal but I get the same sense about JD as Beck. Of course, that EXACT same thing applies to McCain (whom I was left to vote for, sadly). Thanks.

Before I watch the video…
Without first watching the video, I am inclined to pay attention to Sheriff Arpaio's assessment of J.D. Hayworth… regardless of what Glenn Beck may have said about Hayworth.
Besides, Beck's negative comments against Hayworth were not about anything corrupt, criminal, or ideological. Beck just picked on Hayworth's choice of product to sponsor.
So what… it's just a product.
However, Hayworth should not have backtracked and said that he was not fully informed about the company that was promoting the product.
Now, I'll watch the video…
Well, J.D. has been speaking about securing the border for 5 years… compared to McCain's conversion a few months ago to securing the southern border BEFORE “comprehensive immigration reform”… AFTER Sarah Palin offered her public support for McCain.
Palin's support for McCain is merely a bump in the road, and she will recover from supporting the statist and pro-amnesty (…along with Pres. GWBush) McCain… who selected Palin as his VP and propelled Palin into the political stratosphere.
If Palin seeks the U.S. Presidency, I for one, will vote for… twice… for 2 terms. And if I could, I would vote for J.D. Hayworth in Arizona.

I'd be more inclined to vote for Hayworth if Arpaio didn't support him. Arpaio might be tough on illegals, but much more about the man is rotten.

John McCain for a long time said he was a maverick. Mavericks, by definition, are loners, not leaders. That's why I voted for him in my primary, as he was running against such religious zealots as Hunter and Huckabee… but had to vote against him in November.
- Stanxx
He's paranoid about criticism, for starters. And seems apt to do everything in his power to stifle it.

so its your fault. Glad i finally have someone to blame.

Hayworth 2010! Enough with McCain. Imagine, a McCain defeated in the primary, it will be the “defeat heard around the world.” It would mean conservatism is winning and will overtake the GOP. If Bennett can be ousted in Utah, so can McCain.
Hayworth is a thousand times better and you will not doubt where he stands on the issue. McCain is lying his way through the election. How many times are we going to allow McCain to fake his conservatism, so he can backstab us in the senate? I say: Enough Already.
- Josie
I think if McCain did loose it would finaly send a strong message to liberals and all the Politicians that it is not a Democrates or Republican thing happening, but about the corruption, the character and honesty of the person and a focus on a candidate that listens to their constituents. I think this election will do more than Scott Browns victory (though think about how he voted for the last two big issues – he may as well have been a Progresive). I do hope that Hayworth is not going to be a turncoat.

I'm a moderate Republican, more of the Ike ilk, but then, I was born during his Presidency.

I checked your links…
Nice try Stanxx… but there's no there there.
Reason.com is Libertarian leaning libertine, and for some odd reason, probably having to do with authority issues, Sheriff Arpaio is just too much of an authority figure for the usually common sense Reason.com.
It seems that Sheriff Arpaio's constituents disagree with Reason.com and Phoenixnewtimes.com… they keep reelecting Arpaio.
What's up with that, Stanxx? Do Arpaio's constituents know something about Sheriff Arpaio that you seem to have neglected to mention?
If Sheriff Arpaio says that he has NEVER received help from Senator McCain, (… the “comprehensive immigration reform before closing the border leak” advocate BEFORE Sarah Palin endorsed him…) about the border problem and that J.D. Hayworth has been consistent regarding the border leak problem, Arpaio must know something that his constituents agree with.
- Stanxx
All you can do is attack the sources, not the facts. And I don't no where you got the idea that I think Hayworth or Arpaio is wrong on the border. Abuse of authority whether Red or Blue, appointed or elected, is still abuse.

What a GREAT web site…
In the future, will you also be including info about the WW2 Islamic and Nazi connection… which continues in the 21st century, and updating that with what Frontpagmag.com Managing Editor and “United In Hate” author Jamie Glazov calls [from the book jacket]
“The believer's totalitarian journey [that] begins with an acute sense of alienation from his own society – an alienation to which he himself is completely blind.”
More quotes from the book jacket…
“In “United In Hate”, Dr. Jamie Glazov presents startling new insights into the toxic beliefs and torturously contorted thought processes of the leftists who lust to destroy the very freedoms that allow them to exist.
“Glazov explains the Left's love for and deification of totalitarian ideologies, from Marxixm to radical Islam, with clarity and candor.
- “Why does the leftist believer reach out in solidarity to the most gay-hating, woman-hating and minority-hating force on earth?
- “Why does the “progressive” heap adulation upon regimes under which he himself would be annihilated?
- “Why do radical feminists, who supposedly value women's rights, ignore the suffering of millions of women living under Islamic gender apartheid?”
“vile and morbid forces”…
“In this groundbreaking examination, Dr. Glazov at last reveals the vile and morbid forces that impel so-called “progressives” to embrace not just murderous ideologies such as Marxism and radical Islam, but the systematic elimination of all those standing in the way of their new utopia.”
- – - – - – - – - -
As you can see CommieBlaster.com… there is definitely an ideological connection between Marxism and Islam… they are true believers who are “united in hate” against “global freedom” and the “individualism” that is the foundation of a constitutional republic.
Whether it is Marxism, that promotes the “collectivist” commune democracy that subjugates the individual… for the good of the individual, of course, or whether it is Islam, that promotes the “collectivist” Ummah political theocracy that subjugates the individual… for the good of the individual, of course, (e.g., “convert or die” can be very persuasive)… both are “united in hate” against ALL who resist tyranny and embrace liberty.
The “long march” continues against the ideological “vile and morbid forces” of the “collectivism” of the Marxist commune and the Islamic Ummah.
The “individualism” that is the foundation of constitutional republics will resist until the “collectivist” ideology is repudiated, ridiculed and reduced to ashes on the dung heap of history.

Sources… what sources?
You did not adduce a “source” articulating “true facts” that refute Sheriff Arpaio's efforts to control crime in his community.
What you brought forward for consideration is “innuendo without substance” that is designed to impugn the character of a person.
What is a “true fact” that either Reason.com or PhoenixNewTimes.com presents against either Sheriff Arpaio or J.D. Hayworth?
I did not imply or suggest that you think they are wrong on the border. Are you projecting?
The issue is authority, as you said. It just seems that your “sources” merely impugn Sheriff Arpaio's way of handling crime in his community.
Your sources impugn Sheriff Arpaio's use of his legal authority. This is in the category of “he said” vs. “he said”… it proves nothing and it resolves nothing.
Ultimately, the issue is with the constituents of Sheriff Arpaio who continue to reelect him.

The “way he fights crime”? Are you serious? Did you even bother to read the articles I linked? That Reason piece alone (yes it has facts, and links are supplied within) is enough for anyone to take a closer look at Arpaio.
Look, Arpaio was right about McCain being recently converted border-hawk for political expediency, and he's mostly right on the problem of illegal immigration. But the consistent fawning over this guy from conservatives is sick, and it will bite them in the ass sooner or later.
As for Hayworth, he's more conservative than McCain, but the Birther crap he spewed was too much. That's all we need, more idiots making us look bad.
- http://stopislamizationofamerica.blogspot.com/ Art Telles
The nub…
“But the consistent fawning over this guy from conservatives is sick…”
Yes, I checked your links… and perused quickly… looking for “hard” and “true” facts.
Adduce what you think is the best fact… the cream-of-the-crop, the tip-of-the-spear “true fact” that proves whatever point you are making re: “…fawning over this guy from conservatives… .”
The word “fawning” is in the category of “he said” vs. “he said” and accomplishes noting.
PS. Re: the two last paragraphs… dittos… except, of course for the “opinion” point, “… the consistent fawning over this guy from conservatives is sick… .”

I would say that the 16 year old threatened with life in prison case, done out of Arpaio's office, should be enough to make anyone take a closer look at him.

Just out of curiosity, what was the 16 year old being charged in connection with?

If you're a red blooded American it should make your red blood boil.
I remember reading this New Yorker article a couple years back and being pretty stunned by it. If you're okay with coughing up a few bucks, it's worth a read.
- KeninMontana
Well you were right on making one's blood boil,The Police and the District Attorney were way out of line and the kids family should have some legal recourse against both,I would point something out though,Arpaio is the Sheriff of Maricopa County not the Chief of the Phoenix Police Department they are two separate agencies. The District Attorney's office is separate from both. The ABC stories don't mention the Sheriff's office at all only the police and the D.A. However I agree that the handling of this by both the Police and the D.A.'s office was overzealous and out of line. I truly hope the boy and his family are able to get some semblance of their lives back.
Edit: One question that screams for an answer, if yahoo knew about this yahoo site's content ,why did they not take the site down? - Ava
One unethical man to another…Of course Sheriff Joe would endorse JD, they run in the same circle…jail and deception! Hayworth created his own fall, the guy is beyond stupid, makes up lies about whatever he wants to and fills his own pockets without thinking about the ramifications.

There are Muslim people who will tell you that those who kill in the name of their faith are actually a part of a Marxist group and the killing has nothing to do with the Islam religion itself since the Quran being their “word of God” states multiple times throughout its verses that one shall not kill except in self-defense only. I've double-checked this and the Quran does NOT support proactively going out to “kill the infidel.” So…whether those people are right or not…I know not. But it is certain that someone is being brainwashed and that the Islam faith has been corrupted in many places beyond its original intentions. Same can be said for Christianity though such as the cases of Crusades, The Inquisition, and of course let's not forget the mass genocide of millions of indigenous tribes in what we know today as North & South America in the name of “convert or die” coming from mandate of his holiness The Pope.

Sura 9:30 “Make war upon such of those to whom the Scriptures have been given as believe not in God, or in the Last Day, and who forbid not that which God and His Apostle have forbidden, and who profess not the profession of the truth, until they pay tribute out of hand, and they be humbled. The Jews say, “Ezra is a son of God”; and the Christians say, “The Messiah is a son of God.” Such the sayings in their mouths! They resemble the saying of the infidels of old! God do battle with them! How are they misguided? They take their teachers, and their monks, and the Messiah, son of Mary, for lords besides God, though bidden to worship one God only. There is no God but He! Far from His glory be what they associate with Him! Fain would they put out God's light with their mouths: but God only desireth to perfect His light, albeit the infidels abhor it. He it is who hath sent His Apostle with the guidance and a religion of the truth, that He may make it victorious over every other religion, albeit they who assign partners to God be averse from it.

My thoughts drift over the past 20 years, so many times McCain has made the difference in placing real and imagined problems of the world squarely on the backs of the US taxpayers. Yet, here he comes again – doublespeak, “Once upon a time . . .” political models, his communist friends are really just “good people, too . . .”, “Anchor” babies are good for us, illegals really do deserve goodness (in the form of our property and liberty – never mind what you want and work for for your own). Please, Arizona, please please no no NO NOT another 8 years in the Ivory Tower Asylum!!!
