Reading the comments, some of you see a traitor, but I disagree. I see an opportunity. I see a potential intelligence asset. This kid could easily be turned by a good field officer, and with the credentials of a Syrian freedom fighter the doors would open for this kid in the domestic jihadist movement. If handled carefully, this kid, or someone like him, could even become a player in the global Islamist movement and provide the CIA or FBI with some serious intelligence.
Because of all the intelligence leaks, dozens of our double agents were killed off last year. This blond haired fella might be a little hesitant to go along with our CIA or FBI under this current administration that allowed Dr. Shakil Afridi Bin Laden informant to be thrown into a Paki prison and tortured for the next 33 years. Obama's intelligence leaks have decimated our intelligence, we are back to pre 9-11 levels. There are dozens of dead tortured/headless double-agent bodies and "good field officers" being tortured in prison to provide him with an example as to WHY this administration should not be trusted or cooperated with.
He might be laughing now at the brown helicopter down. I want to see the video when the USA Black Helicopters arrive! I bet he won't be laughing then!

Well, I don't think he'll be so happy if Assad's forces get him. If he is part of the rebels, then his shelf life will be kind of short. But hey, my only regret with the Syrian civil war is that there can only be one loser.
On the upside, they will take a lot of the opposing sides out during the process so there will be less in total in the end :)

Liberals and Libertarians have a lot in common. Both would slash the military, legalize pot and other drugs; they both hate Israel, etc. However there is one large difference. Liberals believe a large, big brother government; Libertarians are by and large anarchists and isolationists.
Wrong ,wrong, and wrong again! Libertarians are for a strong military that will always protect the sovereignty of the United States. They don't believe in slashing anything. The military would automatically not be as large, because they don't believe in baby-sitting the world. Ask any Israeli, and they will say they do not want us baby-sitting them. Libertarians don't believe in legalizing drugs either. If a certain state wants to legalize something, then that's their business. A responsible adult without a baby-sitter is not an anarchist. Libertarians want open and free trade with everyone, because they know the United States will always prevail in such an environment; isolationists do not exist here. I'm just tired of those who argue that Obama is destroying the Constitution, which he is, but then spout off about taking the rights away from someone else just because of his actions, as diguesting as it may be.
If his actions are against me, I'm going to take his rights as fast as possible. If they're against someone else, okay, he can have due process. After due process, and actions are proven traitorous, the ultimate right must be taken for the sake of civilized society and sovereignty.
