Great program. Very useful. Now lets get Romney elected and see if we can put the EPA in check. That will be done with control of both houses of Congress and along with Obama Care put the brakes on the EPA and their stupidity. Pass laws that will water down their authority.
Eye opening report! I remember my son's Freshman year in High School, his summer reading included Silent Spring. I read it instead and was surprised and disgusted all at the same time.
I am a bad mother because I wrote the report and didn't make him read it. He'll thank me someday.
I remember, vividly, the day in 1969 when my father looked me in the eye and told me the EPA would be the undoing of our country. My father was a highly educated, government employed scientist. He predicted the disaster the ban of DDT. Unfortunately, he was correct.
When our community had a serious hailstorm a few years ago, the EPA had just passed a rule that only individuals "trained" remove pre-1978 paint "safely" could replace windows. The result, it took two years to get thousands of windows replaced, most of which were located in homes owned by the elderly, vunerable to crime and the elements. The EPA rule had been passed without a single soul being trained to do the work.

I knew in my heart there had to be something else behind the Green movement and the key word sustainable "whatevers" that is being thrown around. Now I know it is about a more socialistic to Marcist society some are trying to move this country to. It is about brain washing our youth and vulnerable adults to thinking they are doing good. But taken to extremes and giving more power to government can result and is resulting in the downfall of our society as we know it. This must be reversed and again this is the year of the tipping point. Vote.
The indoctrination in universities is working...I have a nephew who is studying to get his doctorate in "Environmental Psychology" ....yeah, chew on that a minute...this is a degree path with the explicit goal of teaching people how to psychologically convince the populace of the validity and importance of green initiatives...within the public school systems. Science anyone? Who needs empirical evidence and the scientific method when you can just make us all "believe" something?
Actually, Environmental Psychologists psycho-analyze plants to learn how they are being negatively affected by harmful CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere. Strangely, the plants seem to be exhibiting a sort of Stockholm Syndrome, and need to be extensively deprogrammed as to the real dangers of CO2.

There are so many disturbing things raised in this; but, to me, the most disturbing is that something essential to life on Earth, what we exhale - CO2 - a natural, fundamental part of our air....what plants need to live and produce O2 that WE need to live....is considered a POLLUTANT?!?!? WTF? Also, the EPA was started by Executive Order, not under the auspices of Congressional authority (even though they now have the Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act to support their powerful authority and controls). There is MUCH more to say here, but those two things alone should shock every American into demanding this agency be shut down, IMHO.
Regulations are essentially laws that Congress didn't pass - which supposedly tie back to a law, but often do not; most go unchecked and unquestioned until a law suit is raised. Many departments, bureaus, and agencies have THEIR OWN POLICE FORCE and armed officers charged with the mission to ENFORCE THEIR REGULATIONS, and interdict those who violate regulations! Reminds me, in a way, of something Obama said back in 2008 about a "...civilian security force, just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded funded [as our military]....."
Frightening. This is Marxist governmental theory implemented, here in the USA.

The sustainability thing was pretty scary stuff, and when you combine that information with the information learned in 2016: Obama's America, all of the pieces of the puzzle start to come together and you realize just how far the socialist/marxist (progressive) movement has infiltrated and gained control.

Gas Prices have to be the most "in your face" examples of Media bias. I just hope after this election that some of the media outlets have to close.
This reminds me of the high prices during the Carter years, 40 cents I think, a gallon and huge gas lines and restrictions on what days you could get gas depending on whether you had an odd or even ending number on your license plate.This was one major reason why Carter lost his re-election bid.
But now gas is approaching $6.00 in some areas and the crickets are chirping as far as the MSM is concerned. Just disgusting.

Day One of Romney's presidency: Get the ball rolling on the repeal of Obamacare and rescind all illegal executive orders imposed over the last 4 years.
Day two: Call for congress to defund the EPA and begin a 90% reduction in the department. Then merge the remaining 10% with the Department of the Interior with far less power.

How ironic is it that it took a republican president-Richard Nixon to go after environmental scofflaws,not only did he go after them. Nixon helped to create a new agency-the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)to regulate them. And the Cap and Trade enforcement tool use by the EPA was started by a former republican chairman of the EPA.
And today the leftist run the agency as a boot to regulate and to destroy companies that do not conform to their ideology. Fascism at the highest level!

thank you RS for posting. I'm all for a clean environment. But when California farmers crops die because they can't use water that would endanger a 2 in. fish, they've gone overboard. I drive a vehicle made by Honda in the US. It is a low emissions vehicle. It does not run on a battery, it runs on gasoline and gets 39 mpg hwy. This is an example of how companies are using technology to use our natural resources in a clean and efficient manner.
It appears to me that obama gave loans to these green companies so they could funnel the money back to his re-election campaign.

With everything else seemingly falling apart for Obama, it looks like the issue of the constitutionality of Obamacare is still alive and kicking.
Liberty Counsel's petition for rehearing on the constitutionality of the individual mandate and the employer's insurance mandate is still around and the Supreme Court has just given the Obama administration 30 days to respond, which will be Nov. 1st, just prior to the election.
According to Breitbart: "Long story short: If the Supreme Court ultimately hears the case on appeal – which is highly possible as the claims are unique – and rules that the employer mandate and Free Exercise claims are legit, Obamacare dies on the vine."
