If anyone is interested, the senate just failed to pass internet regulation.
Wednesday night, the Senate defeated the latest attempt to ram through Senator Lieberman's "Cybersecurity Act of 2012."
Thanks to your quick action, we won an important victory despite finding out about Reid's plans fewer than 24 hours before the vote.
After being defeated on this issue yet again, even Harry Reid was forced to admit, "Cybersecurity is dead for this Congress."
Enter Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell...
... who on Thursday actually said he hopes the bill will come up again in December!
Why in the world would he make such a statement?
Well, apparently McConnell voted the right way Wednesday simply because Reid limited the amendments that could be offered to the bill.
So how many others didn't shove this bill down our throats just because Harry Reid didn't allow an open amendment process?
The simple truth is, there are far too many members of the Senate eager to secure more government control over the Internet.
We can't assume anything - or let down our guard for a moment.

I don't get it either. I went my doc the other day, he is Jewish. We sorta got to talkin about o-care and he went on extolling it's virtues. I didn't quite agree, but I found it tough to argue whilst sitting in hospital gown :)

Unfortunately, it's because many of [my fellow] American Jews now believe that the "right" (put in quotes because its so abhorrent) to have an abortion and the right for gays to get married is more important than the survival of the Holy Land. They try to justify their vote [for Obama] by quoting ridiculous arguments that they have been deluded by which explain that he's actually very pro-Israel.
I've had far too many conversations like the following:
- "If he's so pro-Israel, why was he such great friends throughout his young adulthood with people like Bill Ayers and Edward Said?"
* "Because...um...who are they?"

Liberalism manifests itself in hate as it takes the place of religions. A state of cynicism is perpetual among their lot.
Hate is what bonds all of them together; it is what Obama preaches, why he won and unfortunately is the basis for his policies. Hate destroys and we must not allow it to spread to our side.
