Sunni Horn – Turkey and Egypt seek a new alliance

Turkey and Egypt, with the largest militaries in the Middle East, are seeking a new ‘peaceful’ partnership, according to Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu:

NEW YORK TIMES – A newly assertive Turkey offered on Sunday a vision of a starkly realigned Middle East, where the country’s former allies in Syria and Israel fall into deeper isolation, and a burgeoning alliance with Egypt underpins a new order in a region roiled by revolt and revolution. …

Strikingly, [Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu of Turkey] predicted a partnership between Turkey and Egypt, two of the region’s militarily strongest and most populous and influential countries, which he said could create a new axis of power at a time when American influence in the Middle East seems to be diminishing.

“This is what we want,” Mr. Davutoglu said.

“This will not be an axis against any other country — not Israel, not Iran, not any other country, but this will be an axis of democracy, real democracy,” he added. “That will be an axis of democracy of the two biggest nations in our region, from the north to the south, from the Black Sea down to the Nile Valley in Sudan.”

This new Turkish and Egyptian partnership will come as no surprise to those of us who have been following Walid Shoebat, who’s been talking about an alliance between Turkey and the Northern African nations for quite some time now. He calls it the Sunni horn. And it will appear, as noted in the above article, as peaceful, but in reality it will be nothing of the sort. This is what Shoebat said back in early February:

What we now see forming as a result of the latest unrest in Tunisia and Egypt is the beginning pieces of another puzzle – another horn – the Sunni alliance.

But this one is different. Using new western-style slogans of democracy, freedom and social justice, it comes across as a lamb while its inner soul speaks like a dragon. Soon, it will emerge with the two horns of a Shia base in Iran and a Sunni one based temporarily in Egypt; it will find its resting place somewhere else the West never expected. This Sunni horn sparked by the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood is currently seeking a non-Arab axis to represent it. To the West, this red dragon will come as a shocking surprise.

In order to find out which non-Arab nation they seek, we need to read the thoughts of the Arab-pro-Muslim-Brotherhood scholars in Arabic, not in English. Take the renowned Islamic scholar Louay Safi who served as the Executive Director of Research for the International Institute of Islamic Thought in the U.S. (IIIT), who recently wrote:

“The model for reform and the alternative to the Shiite Iranian model will rise again from outside the Arab region, namely from Turkey. The Turkish model, represented by the ruling Justice and Development Party has Islamic roots. The AK Party seeks to restore the Republic of Turkey to its cultural context and cultural history, and represents the current phase of the advanced variety of the Islamic movement in Turkey.”1 (Arabic translation mine)

Giving allegiance to the most powerful Sunni nation, Turkey will emerge from the Sunni alliance to supersede Iran’s Shiite horn. This Leopard attempting to cover its spots has its feet sprouting in Iran while speaking through the spirit of Wahhabism in Arabia; its goal since 1928 has been to restore the wounded Caliphate that fell in Turkey and revive its deadly wound.

It is not a matter of if, but when the domino effect takes place, stemming from Tunisia throughout North Africa and Egypt; we will soon see the emergence of the Muslim Union. And the goal is clear via Safi’s words translated directly from Arabic:

“The war against the apostates [non-believers of Islam] is carried out not to force them to accept Islam, but to enforce the Islamic law and maintain order.”

There is one more piece to this puzzle that Walid Shoebat wrote about in May:

On May 21st the president of Turkey Abdullah Gul (name means slave of Allah the beast) was reported by Reuters to have urged Hamas to recognize Israel’s right to exist. As Turkey’s influence grows they will be in position to finalize and arrange a peace treaty between the Palestinians and Israel with Hamas recognizing Israel. However in order to understand the reality this will not bring peace but will be the famous Islamic “Hudna” which according to the Bible is the “covenant of death” mentioned in Isaiah 28 that will cause the war in order to attempt to destroy Israel in the end.

The objective of the Muslim world will be to use peace in order to deceive Israel and the West. We have always seen in the past our desire for peace especially from the Jewish people. This treaty will be based on a full recognition of Israel and fool them into signing and agreeing to this false peace, which at best will last less than four years. The world will celebrate peace in our time once again, but in the end will bring about the greatest war this world will ever witness.

I know this stuff sounds scary, and indeed it is, but as I’ve pointed out before, we know how it ends:

JOEL 2: The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD. And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, even among the survivors whom the LORD calls.

***

JOEL 3: “In those days and at that time when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will put them on trial for what they did to my inheritance, my people Israel, because they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land. They cast lots for my people and traded boys for prostitutes; they sold girls for wine to drink.

For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. The sun and moon will be darkened, and the stars no longer shine. The LORD will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the heavens will tremble. But the LORD will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.

Then you will know that I, the LORD your God, dwell in Zion, my holy hill. Jerusalem will be holy; never again will foreigners invade her.
