Since homosexuality has once again been thrust into the political limelight, I thought it’s about time to give a different perspective on homosexuality. I heard about Sy Rogers from a youth pastor friend just a couple of weeks ago and finally got around to listening to him today. And he’s fantastic.
The basic plot of his story is that as a young man, he used to practice the homosexual lifestyle and had even signed up for a sex-change operation at Johns Hopkins. But thanks to people that refused to stop praying for him, Sy met Jesus in a revelatory way and thus began his trek out of the homosexual lifestyle and into a global ministry that has now reached you.
I highly recommend this to all of you as I think most of us can identify with his story, much more that we might expect. Yeah, you don’t have to be gay to identify with his journey whatsoever.
If you’re strapped for time, skip ahead to the 19 minute mark where he begins to discuss his own journey. But he’s a great speaker and very entertaining and the hour will go by very quickly.
