The Iranians did something similar to this during the Iran-Iraq War. Iran used thousands of kids to walk on the battlefield to clear land mines. If they blew up, they were heralded as "martyrs" for the cause. Towards the end of World War II, Germany had the Hitler Youth, giving kids this age anti-tank rockets to try and stop Russian tanks. They didn't fare too well, either. Totalitarian regimes always tend to use children as cannon fodder, even if they are Islamic fundamentalist "rebels." I'm sure the Jihadists that fought the Russians in Afghanistan were pretty young, too. All we can do is sit back in horror and at least take some comfort in the fact that we do not act like them. And, trust me, that's a big deal.

I find one verse supporting what appears to be your position. I think you might be considering what is known as "the age of accountability". If there be such a thing, the Bible does not delineate what that age is. Many consider it to be around the age of 12. That is the age of Jesus when his parents lost track of him and later found him in the Temple....

I can't remember what age I first received the Sacrament of Penance, on Nov. 1, 1959 at the age of 10 I made my first Holy Communion, at age 12 or 13 I became a soldier for Christ with my Confirmation. I am so humbled by you and so many others on this site for their Imitation of Christ and their knowledge of the Bible. I learn so much and am reminded of how much more there is to learn.
I accepted Christ at the age of 9 at a James Robinson crusade in Las Vegas, NV. 1971.

The Jews believe the age of reason is 13, at which time they become adults, the thing is that you are right, there is no precise age given in the bible but for these children under the influence of only these radical islamists it is easier for me to believe in 1 John 2:2 "He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world." If these children are never exposed to Christ's teaching they can not make the decision for or against Christ. Christ's death is sufficient for all mankind even those who at any age are denied His teaching.

As a Christian my heart cries to the Throne of my Father in Heaven about the murder of the innocents. This is really no different than abortion; and just like the slaughter of the Hebrew children in Bethlehem when Herod was looking for Jesus. I just finished David Teems book "Tyndale". Thomas More's persecution and burning at the stake of Protestants was a sicko passion of his. He was a rabid Protestant hater despite his reputation as erudite and sophisticated lawyer and someone almost deified in the play "A Man for All Seasons". Tyndale is my new hero. He gave us what is probably ninety percent of the King James Bible.

As much as I admire the American system, for the life of me I don't know how you guys can take non-stop elections including primaries. At least for us it's easy... every four or five years. If it's a good result... smooth sailing, but if we get minority governments or leftist governments we get stuck the whole time in gridlock and whining. Come to think of it... at least you guys have two year pauses to set the Congress right instead of waiting a whole four or five years where we can sit in a cold dark cellar for the whole time without a 2 year interval...Heck... I don't know who has it easier!
I was talking to my pastor last night before Bible study, we were talking about Israel and all the messes- and I said, people who don't believe in the Blessing/Curse verses need to look at what's happening now. Canada under Harper has been standing loud and proud for Israel, and while not all is perfect up there, they are fairing much better than the US, who under dear leader has done more to damage relations with Isarael and promote enemies than ever. I am very proud of Harper, and glad to see him so strongly support Bibi.
I'm not much of a fan of multi parties either las1, but honestly too many of us now believe we have no other choice. If it's God's will, it will grow. I'm trying to keep the foundation on Him first, the Constitution next. :-) Thank you so much for your kind words!
Thank you Caroline. I'm doing well, but probably like for a lot of people, the things happening in the US are not engendering any encouragement right now. I know that the Lord is saying that there is only refuge in him... not in the arm of man. My prayer for the US and us here is for repentance and some kind of awakening. The arrows and the lies of the enemy are too overwhelming for the non-believer and force the believer to get closer to Him. I think you will agree that events in scripture are definitely playing out before our eyes. But we see in part only.
Our good Prime Minister has been awesome. But boy does he stand alone. I only can vainly hope that the same could be said for Dear Leader. Harper laid down the law to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in terms of what Canada at least will do if the fakestinians seek observer status at the UN: No more money from Canada, and no Embassy on Canadian soil.

Last night coming home from church, I was listening to the last bit of Levin. My son asked me questions about the wars and asked, is it world war 3? I told him not yet, but the Bible is coming to life and prophecies spoke of these events. I told him it's a scary time yes (he's 12) but exciting too for those who know God is True, because His Word is alive and happening.
