Dhimmi down to dummy down...

The lady is a lady because she did not point out that the Smiley comment is a classic "dhimmi" equivalence comment that makes a victim of the Islamic "perp" while at the same time the comment bashes the victims of Islamic jihad.

A dhimmi is a submitter to Islam, which means submission.

Tavis Smiley is not a dummy, of course, but dhimmi comments are dummy comments when the Islamic "perp" in dar al-Islam is defended and the victim of the Islamic "perp" in dar al-harb is bashed.

If he were to make the argument “Blood shed in the name of Religion” then proceed back through the worlds history of religious wars he might be able to make some sort of case on Christianity vs Islam ,but the best he could hope for there might be a dead heat. However in US vs Islam,killing in the name of religion? I'd say we could not even begin to get out of the gate in comparison, considering the what about 1200 year(give or take?) headstart Islam has on the US.

Where he is wrong is implying all the killing sprees we have in the U.S. are done in the name of Christianity. While some have been, most aren't. Mass murderers in the U.S. are usually more about Earthly concerns, not a glided afterlife. The author is right that we don't hear people yell “in the name of Jesus” before detonating a suicide vest in a mall, but the Hutaree militia was certainly flirting with terrorism.

Anytime one group claims a divine mandate, or uses religion to justify their otherwise unjustifiable actions, we are asking for serious problems.

And something else to point out is the reaction to these attacks and the attacks of Muslims in Islamic countries.

For instance the abortion clinic/Olympic bomber was hunted down by local, state, and federal authorities. When finally caught he was given a fair trail and then was sentenced.

In Islamic countries if you bomb something that is non-Muslim or something based on non-Islamic culture, you are treated like a hero.

For example Western style shoe stores, beauty saloons, even books stores that have non-Islamic books.

I'm surprised Ayaan Hirsi Ali let him get away with his nonsense. Usually she is so outspoken she would not have put up with his crap. She has been working in the US for some time now and is very familiar with the comments of Islam apologists.

She put one Canadian leftist in his spot when he tried to make the same type arguments by shoving a "you have never experienced a loss of freedom so you don't know how to fight for it."

That Canadian leftist is now working for the Aljazeera network.

Tavis Smiley is so full of it. I think at most you will be able to find maybe 5-7 attacks, in the last 25 years on America soil, that Christians have used the bible as their guiding principle to kill.

In 2009 Muslims used the Qur'an as their guiding principle for a lot more attacks on US soil than Christians who have held up the bible and screamed that they are following its doctrine.

Travis Smiley is an Islam apologist who is using the very tired and broken 'moral equivalency' pseudo argument.

Look, Muslims kill on behalf of their religion and cite it as a religious duty. If Muslims were killing people for political power or money, nobody would say “Islamic violence”. It's not that they are Muslim, it's that their murder is religiously motivated. By their own words.

There is no Christian group claiming that the New Testament tellas them to slay the unbelievers whereever you find them. If they kill, it is unrelated to their religion…or at least any religious connection is hard to find.

Is this willfull blindness, or ignorance? How can someone not grasp that there is a diffeance between a religion with murderers in it, and a religion that endorses murder?
