Why is it when lefties, not only got draft deferments, but actually aided and abetted the enemy, they are spoken of as brave, strong, peacenick, heroes, etc. but when conservatives get deferments, they are cowardly scum? Ted is NOT a draft dodger, did not crap his pants to get out of being drafted, or any of the other ridiculous stories the loons put out. He had a deferment like many others. He's also very pro military and does a tremendous amount of good for our troops!

You mention your local paper. We live in an overall conservative area. Our local paper is owned by Gannett....they are constantly annoying to residents.
Back when we were getting our Tea Pary off the ground, I think in 2009, we had several large rallies, one a packed to standing only football stadium. The paper ignored us..and again at the Fair Grounds and other places.
Frustrating!

Imagine if we had more politicians who were as brave and truthful as Ted is.
If you're implying that having Ted Nugent there as a guest makes Republicans stupid... I'd like to counter that and say to have children from the Newtown shooting there as props is gross and pathetic.
Well, the party is already fractured. There are the establishment (liberal) Republicans and then the conservative ones (2010 Freshman class for instance). Until these establishment RINOs leave, the GOP is impotent at best and doomed for certain - and it's the RINOs who guarantee a permanent Democrap party majority.
And the stunt Obama and the Demoncrats are pulling is seriously worse. They are lying to America and using victims to do it. Sickening.
While I admit, Ted Nugent can be extravagant while making his valid points, he is free to use his celebrity status to help America - and he is helping America. I also feel he is spot on with his points. He's a patriot who loves his country... you can't fault him for that.
And I'm against all lobbies and corporate involvement in politics. However, the NRA is one of the good ones and I don't fault them for being involved since the precedent has already been set by liberals.
If you fear that Ted is going to embrass himself or the Republicans, I wouldn't worry about that. If you feel he already has, well, I disagree.
When a Republican pulls a stunt like this I get more a more convinced that some in the GOP are trying to fracture the party and create a permanent democrat party majority. This Stockman congressman is trying to get cheap publicity and, more importantly, more dough from the NRA for his next election in two years.
