I don't see why any of you are against this. Don't all of you believe in the morality of altruism... which declares that you have no right to exist for your own sake, that your moral obligation and primary source of virtue is found in sacrificing for the sake of others?
Or wait, are you one of these evil "selfish" people who believe that you 'do' have a right to live for your own sake, and that you have a right to pursue your own happiness, neither sacrificing yourself to others, nor others to yourself?

CA has contacted WI to learn how to check their public unions. I think CA is starting to see the light. I say let's send them to Mexico and permanently eliminate the physical connection between our countries. Even more benefit making it tougher for illegals to reach our borders.
Send them all here. I live in CA (Mrs WFM says we are being held hostage here) and it wouldn't bother me a bit to see Californians pay for their crimes through their taxes for more freeloaders. Ted Turner is a godless puke. Like most liberals in this world who believe, without ever considering it, that they have their comfort or their success because, somehow, they deserve it.
Ted Turner, like just another spitting hippie in Toilet City-Oakland CA, 1969, is the cause of most military suicides. They prance around at home, far from the terror, regaling others like them with tales of love and the right of men to exist peacefully. They have a drink and a smoke and trot off to the waterbed with some numb whore and say, "Now THIS is the American Dream."
There is a contrast between standing on level concrete at the Port of Oakland and kneeling in a dusty hole in the ground 7,000 miles from your birthplace where friends bled, screamed with pain and died so stark as to defy description.
There is a contrast between standing in the sunlight on your front lawn and remembering a thin, purple glow in the east over the edge of a mud wall after a night of horror and death.
There is a contrast of running your hand over your head to see how much hair still grows there compared to running your hand over your chest searching in the blackness for the hole where the hot piece of steel penetrated.
There have been years, no, there have been decades for me when I rejected God. How could He have done this to me and let the millions in my country slide by with no notion of what it took to preserve even the simplest freedoms? But by far the hardest questions I ever asked were, "Why me? Why did you save me? Why did you take them and force me to live with their memory?"
Has Ted Turner or the millions of happy Americans ever asked that? Ted Turner and the millions would probably think a man insane who had ever asked such a question.
It has now been 44 years since I demanded of God, "Why me? Why didn't you let me die with them, stay with them, forever young, forever in honor, forever with a lust for staying alive in my heart?" And it has been fewer months than I have fingers on my hands that I received my answer.
Today it is Ted Turner and the spitting hippies who must pray that there is no God.
Words certainly fail me now as I read all of yours, Virginiagentleman and ourMarine's incredible comments here now. While God has His reasons, I am so very grateful He has allowed you guys to be a part of our lives here. You all, and ourGBW have such a special place in my heart and as much as these kinds of hate filled black hearted little people want to try and spit on our soldiers, they can never take you out of our hearts. It just doesn't feel like there are big enough words to accurately describe my gratitude. You bless thousands of us each day, with each post and for that, you are irreplaceable. Please know that you are loved, honored, and respected by the vast majority of your nation. Don't let the Ted Turner types tell you any differently. Just because they have a microphone & a cameraman doesn't mean they represent anyone other than themselves.
I can't tell you how many millions of words I've written since 1963 when the urge to express first hit me.
It really wasn't until I'd spent a year or so around people like you, Sober, and ABC, Mike, GB, VG, 911, Nuke, Sense, Toon, Phil, Brian, sDee, RShill7 and a hundred more, even and maybe especially the trolls, that I could ever have written this.
I couldn't have seen this or even admitted it to myself without the kind of support kindness, feedback, camaraderie and fortitude I've experienced with the people since first logging onto The Right Scoop. I had determined long ago that I was going to help conservatives find their voice, to fight back stand up, demand the truth even if our weapon was only digital. Instead, found my own.
Now I'm inspired too, my friend.
Okay so I won't close by telling a fellow soldier to keep his head down. You seem to have learned how to take care of that end without much help.

Funny how that works sometimes, isn't it? God is sure that anytime you bless another, you are sure to experience a blessing from Him as well. He's generous to those who are faithful to Him.
Just know that we, survivors have been given the most difficult task and our success or failure reflects on our friends and heros who are watching from above. It isn't easy but who is better suited and prepared for the job than those of us who've seen the elephant?

I cannot tell you what an honor that is. I couldn't answer at that time because, as a draftee, I cannot imagine being honored this way. I can only try to appreciate what you and the Corps have done for this country, over and over, in the last 237 years and wish that I could have October 18, 1967 over again when they asked a roomful of draftees, in Oakland CA, if anyone wanted to opt for the Marine Corps. You have given a very real and moving description of what goes through the mind and soul of a survivor, who while engaged in fierce combat watched his brothers die horrible deaths. That vision never leaves, nor the sounds accompaning that vision of hell on earth.
I have simular thoughts and questions awaiting God's answer, AirCav. And we both know that the 'why me' is never going to leave us.
I don't know what your answer from God was, unless you feel comfortable sharing it, but I will share with you the answer He gave me.
Our work is not done here. As you have done with your comment, we must always raise the alarm, educate our brethern who have never seen combat and its attendent horror, to keep alive the memory of our honored dead and why they died, to wage war against the Ted Turners and the filth like him.

I have, and I agree Mike. And it is true, we DO have legions of the ghosts of our American Warriors at our sides. One day my friend, we shall join that legion when our work here is done and we will continue to fight beside our brothers. We can do no less. It is what we are, American Warriors, and what we shall always be, in this life, and the next.
Have you ever heard the song by Chris Ledoux called This Cowboy's Hat? Listen to it. It is how I imagine our duty. We don't fight/argue/ debate alone. We have legions of ghosts of American Warriors by our sides at all times. It is why we are never afraid / never outnumbered.

Ted Turner was always insane. After all, he DID marry Jane Fonda, and anybody crazy enough to do that really is insane. Now he's just old AND insane. I don't know why anybody bothers listening to him anymore.

I sat and talked to Ted Turner for about 30 minutes years ago. He was waiting on his personal airplane and I was waiting for my passengers. He started the conversation and we talked about various things, mostly the Atlanta Braves which he owned at the time. He was a very personable guy but I came away from the conversation thinking that there was something very peculiar about the man. For one thing, he ended each comment with a peculiar humming noise. Very odd. My copilot thought maybe Turner was just eccentric. Considering some of the statements he's made and some of his actions in the ensuing years I now think the man is at least a half bubble off plumb. This statement about our troops and their psychological issues is just stupid and if he really meant what he said then his is a POS.
Turner is a despicable piece of garbage! That he even has the right to speak is only because our troops protect our freedoms that he abuses! Another leftist loon that hypocritically got to where he is by being a greedy corporate raider that he claims to be against. He's the real barbarian!
On Novbember 7th. Our message to Ted Turner, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, the NYT, and the rest of these pieces of sh$t will be loud and clear. Their rocket ship to irrelivancy is in its final countdown. They know it!
