Thaddeus McCotter: How to speak Democrat

Personally, I thought it was a little too partisan seeing as how there WERE (past tense you see) Democrats in the past who did cut taxes and actually did help America stand strong against enemies.

HOWEVER…we don't really see that anymore, so I think the point's pretty well-made and seems to as Scoop said…apply really well to today's standards.

I think the reasons for the elementary strategy on ALL sides is because a LOT of Americans ARE pretty stupid. It's the ONLY real reason why people would “jump on the hope and change bandwagon,” only to ignore what's actually going on once the man is elected into office.

So…as I would view it as an INSULT to MY intelligence…I don't necessarily see it as an insult to EVERYONE'S intelligence.

To further prove my point, you can find idiots from BOTH sides of all debates. Liberals went out of their way to find idiots who were all about tryin to keep Obama out of office solely because “We can't let a Muslim in the White House. This is a Christian nation,” in that lovely twangy accent of inbred folks in the deep south. We ALSO find idiots who say things like “Now that Obama's elected, I won't have to worry about paying my mortgage or filling up my gas tank anymore,” or that lady who talked about getting “Obama money” without even thinking very clearly WHERE this “Obama money” would come from.

The fact that McCain won the Republican primary and the Republican-run Congress who passed Constitution-stomping legislation like the “Patriot Act” was what really got so many Americans just wanting ANY change even without asking what that change would be.

I loved it. McCotter is absolutely right on. If he looked like Tom Selleck instead of instead of Liesure Suit Larry, he would be our next President.

The truth of the matter is that it's also a perversion of the way that we're taught information to begin with. We're always taught to learn solely with the left and logical brain, so we tend to use our right side which is responsible for feeling and emotion only on occasion. What this leads to is a problematic inability to control our emotions when problems arise and therefore even though we may have this logical comprehension of information, we don't balance it out with our emotions and our emotions tend to overtake our logic. That's why Americans supported the Patriot Act until they realized AFTER it passed exactly the full extent of what they had allowed to happen.
