The important thing is the thug that beat up the Tea Party protester , GOVENOR SPENCER, was a veteran labor organizer that mobilized people to commit acts of civil disobedience.
K-Mart Labor Struggle, 1995Calvin Miller, Greg Headon, GOVENOR SPENCER , and Deborah Compton-Holt explained how K-Mart Warehouse Center employment practices and conditions had become unbearable, causing workers to organize around questions of economic justice. Attempts at organizing had been quelled. These veteran labor organizers recounted how they mobilized their families, communities, and the Pulpit Forum of Greensboro, a coalition of progressive clergy, to commit acts of civil disobedience and bring pressure to bear on K-Mart until they negotiated in good faith for a fairer contract. In the end, the workers triumphed, although the struggle continues. Students from local colleges, both black and white, joined the K-Mart boycotts and there was massive media coverage throughout the nation.
I respect Mr. Tabor's amazing restraint. He even continues to call him "sir" after the attack. Buy I gotta tell ya, I would have beaten the dog S outta that waste of skin.
Considering that it happened here in the south, I am surprised that someone like me did not step in and defend that guy.I am still quite warm about poor Kenneth Gladney.

[...] Maybe it’s just me, but if I’d gotten slugged in the face and my wife pushed around by a counterprotester, I don’t think I would have politely agreed to step back on the sidewalk while videotaping the man who assaulted me. Give the North Carolina protester who took one for the team some credit; Nathan Tabor handled himself extraordinarily well in upsetting circumstances. For his trouble, both Tabor and the man who mugged him, Govenor Spencer, will have to face off again, this time in court, but somehow this video tends to make me believe he’ll be just fine (via Gateway Pundit and The Right Scoop): [...]

Well folks sad to say I believe this will be happening more often as we near Nov. Each of us needs to be prepared with video, cameras and witnesses. I once saw a show on how to deal with an attacker and one key element was to be ready mentaly to deal with it if it happens. Blows may be dealt so be ready to handle the situation to safety. I hope they arrested this lunatic.
let me do the Huffington Post's write up for them. this way their writer's can stay in mom's basement playing "Call Of Duty 18: The Smell of Rent"."....the video, shaky and carefully edited, shows a lone elderly, pro-Obama AFRICAN-american in a mob of angry tea party protesters brandishing signs and verbally accosting the Obama administration. The video "appears" to show the Obama supporter swing and possibly strike one of the angry tea partiers. However it is unclear what was done to provoke this brave dissident as he tries to explain , and rightfully so, how this is all the result of the failed economic policies of the past eight years. Well the past nine and a half years, but subtracting the last 18 making an even 8 years. Yes, that's it. 8 years."
One of these days these thugs are going to run into someone who will not wait for the police to show up to deal with it.
