I love words. You can say things in so many different ways that mean so many different things.......But one thing you can say about any member of congress is anything they say, no matter how beautiful on the floor, is absolutely meaningless.....Is Holder still the Attorney General? Yes. Is he being punished for lying to Congress and refusing to comply with their demands? No. Face it. We have an incompetent, do nothing Congress full of gutless wonders.....If...they were to grow a set and exercise their power they would send Holder and Obama home....That will not happen.
We need more Trey Gowdy's in Congress, not less. In fact we need the whole Congress full pro-American Reagan Tea Party Conservatives like Trey Gowdy, Jim DeMint, Michelle Bachamann, etc, in Congress. And we are doing it with people like Ted Cruz and Richard Murdock, and Mia B. Love, and so on.
This next Congress will not be a Hall filled with anti-American progressive liberals, but with real Reagan Conservative to change the course of this radical regime administration's catastrophic economic, political, and social destruction of the US Constitution, America, and the American People.

My God. Until the Fast and Furious congressional hearings began, I had never heard of Trey Gowdy. Now I wonder why he isn't running for POTUS!
If we had more people like this in the Senate and Congress, instead of crooks like Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, pretty much all the democrats, we wouldnt be in this mess!!
He's a good man. I just hope they keep pounding until they get all the facts out and I hope they don't suppress any in order to let Obama save face....or avoid criminal charges.

If men like Trey Gowdy continue to lead, continue to stand up to the tyranny that has become emblematic of this President's administration, I WILL FOLLOW, regardless of how treacherous the path becomes!
Mr. Gowdy was smart enough to see the insult, and arrogance of Holder's bargain. I believe he was truly offended that their intelligence was insulted by the despicable Holder. Gowdy is a breath of fresh air.

I can't remember if he asked the investigation to be dropped or the contempt charge to be dropped, but he was an idiot for thinking he could present a summary that he could entirely make up.
That's illegal, but if the documents have records of even worse illegal activity I'm sure they will be destroyed in a heartbeat. If they are destroyed, there needs to be criminal prosecution for interfering with a criiminal investigation and destroying evidence.

time to put the NAZIS in black robes up for a vote...Amend the U.S. Constitution to elect these pigs to 8 year terms also in that clause... no more president will be used...each case will have its own outcome and original intent must be used and the writings of the founders must be sited in every case...jail time will be imposed on any judge who willingly usurps the Constitution....

In addition to the wrong-headedness of this dizzy, sophomoric administration this is just another brick in the ever-growing wall of illegality it has constantly exhibited. The debt comes due in November and the punishment they will receive at the polls for their actions will be mind-boggleing and wonderful to observe. Can't wait!

Agreed... on two counts. First his recent Arizona immigration vote with the liberals against Arizona and now this additional vote. He is marching with locked arms with the liberals on the court.
Yeah, sorry, I hate to be a bucket of cold water here (I'm 50/50 on Gowdy) but I thought he went on for too long. He raised good points; he just kept banging the drum for too long. Just my take.
Gowdy is a good man and pretty much sums up what we all want....the truth. But Obama and Holder won't give it to us, so we have to get it from them. It may take years, but it will happen.
ALL TIME HAS EXPIRED, so it was stated, so shall it be. You Mr. Holder, were held in contempt by a majority of 'we the people' before this vote of our Representatives. Now it has been CONFIRMED. You are truly contemptible.

It occurs to me that the only thing that keeps "America" alive is the force of the conviction of the RIGHTNESS of America manifested in the words and actions of its people. Words on paper, the DoI, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, have no life of their own apart from those who passionately adhere to them and proclaim them in the face of every evil assault against themselves and the documents -- our charters of civilization. We must pray that God would raise up men such as this, such as Trey Gowdy proves himself to be. We must pray that God would grant us wise and just leaders, men of courage and conviction and a knowledge of what is right who with passionate intensity eschew all that is merely expedient.
HarrietHT2, we now live in a time when school age children are not taught American History and are not taught how to think and reason. Our schools now instruct them WHAT to think. It's no surprise that so many of our kids look to Socialism and Communism as a viable alternative to the republic which has served us well for over two hundred years.
And those members who staged the walkout during the vote to determine the truth of Fast and Furious are always the ones who find the truth to be inconvenient. Most seek the truth while others scurry away when the truth threatens to harm the agenda they are promoting. They are a despicable lot, but no more so than the voters who put them in office. Sadly, the numbers of people with the force of the conviction of RIGHTNESS of America are fading fast.
I fear the inertia of the Progressives is far too great to overcome. It's just a matter of time. We can only slow down the demise of our nation's march to oblivion. I feel fortunate to have lived in America at a time when it was at its finest. Those who come after me will never know what it was like to have lived in a time when we were the greatest nation on earth.
May God have mercy on us.
While it is true that our public schools are rife with indoctrinating teachers, it is also true that even in our public schools we have patriots here and there still bringing history, civics, and capitalist economics to students. All is not lost, and I frankly don't much enjoy seeing our side become despondent and fatalistic -- that in itself is self-fulfilling prophecy. And do you really want to give these scum, these "enemies domestic" the field of victory? We are not Americans, then, if we capitulate to evil; we will have disgraced and tarred forever the sacrifice of so many millions who GAVE THEIR LIVES to make us free. I will die standing, fighting, not as a slave to any man.
Everyone of them who walked out, should not have a job when November get here. They just proved that they are not worthy of the American people. They are COWARDS!!

Every time I hear Rep. Gowdy speak I am impressed. I always think of two things.
1 - He is in possession (not many in politics are) of the courage of his convictions.
2 - How he looks and sounds when compared to the likes of pelosi, jackson-lee, waters, frank, and wasserman-schultz.
I cannot believe the left actually trots these clowns out in public.
"...the politics be damned." I agree with Rep. Gowdy, but ya gotta believe that politics is going to be a big part of the vote. It would be wonderful if politics weren't involved, but in Congress politics is everything. We shall see at the end of the day.
17 Dumbocrats crossed the aisle. One would've been good enough for me to call it bipartisan; 17 was epic.
