This is fantastic. Truthland is basically a movie that debunks Gasland, the movie made by HBO to instill fear about fracking and how it poisons the water table. As many of you know, fracking is done so far underground that there is no way any of the water and chemicals used to break apart the rock can get into the water table by seeping up through the soil. But this movie is much more comprehensive than just basing it around that fact. The narrator and investigator is a woman who has natural gas wells on her property and goes go step by step to investigate everything from the polluted water that was shown in the movie Gasland to investigating exactly what chemicals are used in the fracking process as well as even the pipeline that is used to obtain the natural gas. Her journey takes her all over the country, from New York to Colorado talking to experts and people who live in areas where fracking is being used today.
I just spent around 30 minutes watching the movie and I encourage you to do the same.
