Union protesters storm the Capitol building

It’s one thing to see these idiots in the Capitol building hooping and hollering, but it’s a totally different thing to see them fighting with the police. They have no respect for the police and I only hope that tomorrow, law enforcement shows up to the Capitol en masse with riot gear on. As angry as these people are, they might need it:

This issue has been blown so far out of proportion it’s amazing. The whole point of this is to balance the state budget and the amount of money that public employees are being asked to contribute isn’t unreasonable at all. While they are loosing their ability to collectively bargain for pensions and benefits, but they still retain it for salaries and wages. And the discontinuation of the automatic draft of union dues by the state, which is at the heart of this battle, well that’s just FREEDOM to choose whether you want to be a part of the unions or not. And it honestly makes sense in light of the public sector employees having to contribute more money to their pensions and health care. They can decide if those union dues go to the union or toward their pensions.

But the unions chiefs and the MSM (particularly NBC) have been doing nothing but spreading lies about this bill so that people feel like their rights are being infringed upon. It’s been an amazingly dishonest campaign and there is no telling where it will lead.

Let’s just hope that the spines of the Republicans in Wisconsin don’t turn into jelly over the next few days. They need to stand strong for the people who elected them.
