What the… yes, civility is alive and well on the left side of the aisle. As a side note, where has McCain been lately? Didn’t he announce recently that Obama has become more moderate and is willing to work with Republicans? Haven’t heard from him in the past two weeks. Anyhow, a man threatening to do the dirty in another man’s nether region isn’t exactly the best choice of words, in my opinion. That doesn’t exactly sound threatening, it sounds like he has the hots for someone. Perhaps he watched Deliverance one too many times.

Well, vocabulary is not going to be a union-goon’s strong point. Participles and all that… you know, education-stuff.

If the right would adequately fund education, maybe we’d all be able to speak more intelligently, even with a provocative cameraman shoving a lens down our throats.

Teachers need to focus on teaching the basics first, instead of the usual in-depth condom placement classes they’ve got going on right now. Then we can talk about more funding (and by the way, where are you going to get all this money).

This should come to no surprise to anyone that has has any first hand experience with Unions.
I always expressly turn down work where a union must be involved, I refuse to do business with unions. They are violent children that act out like 3 year olds when they do not get their way

Disagree on the 3-year-old thing… they actually act like union thugs and eventually, almost always, resort to financial terrorism tactics that interrupt commerce and business function to impose illegal financial intimidation to achieve their goals.

This entire Wisconsin “protest” has been a complete turn off. If anyone was pro union with their agenda and tactics, surely the events of the past 10 days have shown them new facts, and helped them to see how manipulative the unions are.
I totally agree that Unions were necessary in the 1940′s, but the time has come to move on. - Anonymous
How has the business community evolved to make you believe that unions are no longer necessary?
- poljunkie
In my opinion, they are too expensive to maintain. The pension plans are a perfect example. Health care plans another.
- Diamondback
We now have a Dept of Labor that regulates and enforces federal laws protecting worker’s and worker rights.
The unions were needed at one time but that time is no more as they have become too corrupt and are too often detrimental to the interest of the taxpayers.
There’s NO PLACE for unions in any level of government. Being awarded a taxpayer supported job is a privilege and not a right. If you have a problem you have elected representatives you can access for due process.
Just that simple.
- http://community.livejournal.com/black_avenger_1/profile Virus-X
I second that motion. What was once codified through disobedience by the union thugs and union thuggery is now codified by LAW. Unions do not make law; when business gets involved with government, that becomes FASCISM (which we are experiencing, by the way). We have formal, legal government agencies that handle worker/employer disputes, such as the Labor Relations Bureau, Wage & Hours Division.
Unions served a purpose in showing the government what needed to be done, legally, but were always bad for America in the fact that they involved themselves with anti-American elements and agitators, and jacked up prices on products and services through unreasonable demands for jacked up salaries and benefits, which everyone else was forced to pay.
- poljunkie
well stated !
- http://punditpawn.wordpress.com PunditPawn
Well, gee, maybe its the incredibly strong civil service rights that provide MASSIVE protections for workers that many confuse and think that the unions are providing those benefits. It’s not the unions providing those protections, it’s the law and those protections exist regardless of the union.
Who is protecting the rights of the Wisconsin voters who want their representatives to be able to conduct work in their State buildings?

I’m very weary on Sgt Dave McClurg’s claims on conservatism.
According to the following article, he was already planning on protesting as of Feb. 14 and trying to get an advertisement against the bill.
http://www.thedailypage.com/daily/article.php?article=32245Other than this, nothing concrete as to whether he truly was a Republican. I did find one article with a listing for a Dave McClurg supporting Tim John, the democrat who lost the primary bid to Tom Barrett, but it’s not clear if it’s the same Dave McClurg.

You are lying through your teeth if you say you have experience with union rally’s and that they have been civil. The entire point of rallying is to get in the face of the public.
Your link is laughable on its face. You can hear the huge noisy crowd in the background while this guy is talking. They are inside the state Capitol building and they are screaming as loud as they can. That is not “civil”.
This “cop”, if he is one at all, is no Republican and never has been a Republican. Liberals claim to be former Republicans all the time because they think it gives them some kind of cred. It doesn’t. This jerk has all the liberal talking points down pat. Fox News. Limbaugh. O’Reilly. That idiot has no idea that Bill O’Reilly is not a conservative. He just thinks he is because all liberals think he is.
But the REAL kicker is that if you really did have experience with liberal rallies, especially union rallies, you would know that YOU NEVER TRUST THE COPS! Ever. Oh, yeah, they appear to be on your side at first. Maybe even most of the time. They’ll help the line and make it miserable for scabs. But they’re cops first and foremost and you can NEVER ever trust them. I’ve been on a picket line and I’ve seen what happens when the cops have had enough, or maybe get the word. Watch out for the mounted cops because they’re brutal.
You’re full of crap.

Concur Jaynie…every liberal protest in Seattle always ends up blocking streets, disturbing traffic, and protesting something anti-American or pro-government. And they always get in your face if you disagree.
I went to two Tea Party rallies in Seattle and they were completely different. Quiet and civil, until libs showed up with Bush-Hitler signs screaming obsenities…

These thugs, including Dem congressman Capuano, Trumpka, Obama and the rest of the crowd inciting “community organizers”, will keep their angry, violence inciting rhetoric up until they finally get their desired results of some intimidating injuries or deaths and then they will call for civilty once again. Of course they will not accept any of the blame but will blame it on the politicians with the audacity to try and solve problems, balance budgets and not run away from the actual hard, adult work necessary to solve the huge problems that the left themselves have caused. Most Americans are tired of this crap and it ‘s not gonna fly this time.
- http://twitter.com/stardog235 Aine
This post, and others like it, make me wonder how long most Americans will be able to sustain reasonable interest in the union dramas. I mean, people only have so much time and energy in their lives to watch crazy behavior and then they’ve got to take care of business themselves. I don’t know anyone who’s racing home from work to see the next installment of “Madison, WI.”
In other words, for the average person, this will get old pretty quickly, I think. For the Left, it would appear there can never be enough vitriol in life. I think this won’t turn out well for them, though, the first time the 6:30 news crowd sees a policeman set afire with a molotov cocktail, as in Greece yesterday.

That is exactly why we are in the position we are in today. So many of us thought by just working hard and raising our families and being good citizens that everything would just be hunkydory. We have found out that we cannot trust our politicians or media to be honest or do what is best for America, in fact we have found out that they are really doing just the opposite, and it is easier for the leftists, the professional protesters, the community organizers, the union thugs because most of them are on the government dole one way or the other and have much more free time, not by accident by the way. 9-11 woke most of us up for awhile, Obama’s election and extremely radical agenda woke most of us up again, this is the final fight for all of our freedoms, so if you are tired just go back to ignoring the socialists in charge, but be prepared to explain to your children and grandchildren why they have no freedom, no choices but what the government tells them and what happened to the American dream, that is if any of us are still alive and able to speak openly. There are too many who still don’t pay any attention to what is happening to our freedoms, but to those who do realize what is happening, this is the last chance you are getting to hold on to your country, to your freedoms. I would hope that the survival of our country and our freedom and our families, would be enough to fight off fatique or exhaustion. These leftists have been putting their structure in place for decades and now they have most of the world rioting, protesting, on fire and broke, this is no time for a nap, they are playing for keeps.

Hey, where’s that jackass “Brotherhood”? I’m sure he can find a way to spin this, and make it the fault of everybody but the thug. And, hey, the anti-gay slur? Never happened, right. And if it did happen, he didn’t mean it. Only Christians and Conservatives say that kind of thing, and mean it. It’s just like when white liberals make racist remarks about black people (http://www.useless-knowledge.com/1234/feb/article239.html) (http://lashawnbarber.com/archives/2005/02/16/emboldened/). Or when black liberals make remarks about homosexuals (http://www.mediaite.com/tv/rev-al-sharpton-no-longer-calls-people-%E2%80%9Cpunk-fggots%E2%80%9D-but-new-documentary-trailer-shows-he-did/).
This is why I absolutely HATE UNIONS. You can talk about how there are good people in them, all you want; you can blather about how ‘it’s the leadership that’s bad, not the rank and file’, to your heart’s content. THAT WAS NOT A UNION LEADER. THAT WAS A GARDEN VARIETY UNION WORKER BEE DRONE THUG. Collective bargaining is CRAP. They get PLATINUM-plated benefits that NO ONE ELSE IN THE WORLD gets, outside CONGRESS. They get near-constant pay-raises, even when the economy is taking a DUMP, thanks to people like the Dalai Obama, and Obamanomics, and everybody else is getting furloughs and pay slashes. I work at a robot manufacturer, and they put the vast majority of the workforce on layoff, before I got there. When some of them were called back, guess what happened? They faced 40% PLUS pay slashes, were released from their jobs just to be hired back as TEMPS, and had all benefits TAKEN AWAY. All just to save the company a buck. But how often does this happen in unions? Remember the idiot teacher that was going at it with RINO Christie in NJ?
This “teacher” is the same idiot that made, at the time, EIGHTY SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS (http://crushliberalism.com/2010/05/27/chris-christie-argues-with-government-school-teacher-about-pay-teacher-a-little-less-than-honest/). When teacher salaries, and the salaries of any other union thug, bloats like that, they defend it by crying “fair wage”. How in THE HELL is that a “fair wage”?! Teachers are supposed to be vital, well, how many cops make that much? How many Soldiers and Marines? Again, union thugs, including the screaming mimi that got into it with Christie, absolutely DON’T CARE that their bloated, completely unfair salaries are paid for by the People. As I told a socialist friend of mine, she’s a WEAKLING. She wants “collective bargaining” (i.e.: collective bulls*itting), because she can’t stand on her own two feet, and negotiate her own salary, for whatever reason. They need the communist/socialist nanny to run their lives and wipe their asses, because they’re too cowardly to do it, themselves. They live in what Rush Limbaugh called “the entitlement state”, because they believe they actually are entitled to these outrageous salaries and platinum-plated benefits packages that they don’t have to contribute a PENNY to, like EVERYBODY ELSE. Call, write and email your congressional representatives, today, and tell them that the US needs to be a RIGHT TO WORK NATION. How in the HELL is it Constitutional to FORCE someone to enter into a contract they don’t want to be in, with a third party, just to have a job? And doesn’t that sound hauntingly familiar (http://dailycaller.com/2011/01/31/2nd-federal-judge-rules-obamacare-unconstitutional/)? This battle in Wisconsin is to save the taxpayers BILLIONS over time, by protecting them from having to empty their pockets into union coffers, as well as protecting their rights as citizens, and telling unions they do not have the power to force people to join their crooked, corrupt ranks, if they choose not to, and are not bound to pay their PROTECTION MONEY.
In case I sound mad, that’s because I am.
I-HATE-UNIONS.
The only upside of this is the fact that that foaming-at-the-mouth jackass got hauled in. This should happen more. In fact, if I was governor, I’d have pictures of black-faced Adolph Hitlers merged with my face, considering I’d have riot-geared Michigan State Troopers standing close by the rioters (i.e.: “protesters”), and even wading into their ranks to watch them up close and personal. ANY infraction of the law would result in immediate arrest and criminal prosecution. Assault during one of these occasions would be met with charges of inciting a riot, the violation of First Amendment Rights, and assault with intent to commit great bodily harm (or even assault with intent to commit murder, depending on crowd reaction/participation). If cross-ethnic violence was involved, ethnic intimidation would be an additional charge (http://www.legislature.mi.gov/(S(gbrpnk45fl5v3n45oyaqk2in))/mileg.aspx?page=GetMCLDocument&objectname=mcl-750-147b). Let’s also not forget breach of peace. Give me a little while, and I can think of a lot more criminal and civil charges to stack on the backs of union thug footsoldiers that think they can purple-shirt (unfortunately, they aren’t wearing brown shirts; that would be precious) strong-arm anyone that disagrees with them.

It’s really not that difficult to understand that this tax payer funded union movement is all about political power and not wages and benefits!
And it’s evil and disgusting that this truth is not being reported! It’s the private sector workers through their taxes that are paying the wages and thus union dues of the over paid civil servants in America!
It used to be at one time that civil servants wages and benefits were based upon what was the average private sector wage scale which varied from major city to major city! Government civil servants do not have a right to bargain for more than what the general public private sector tax payer earns. Plain and simple!
It is inherently wrong for a auto mechanic working for a private sector auto dealership to earn less than a government civil servant auto mechanic and yet that lesser earning auto mechanic is expected to help pay the difference for that higher earning civil servant mechanic! That’s not right! Where’s the liberal cry for equal rights here?
- Anonymous
The problem with your rant, Nut, is that the unions have offered to accept the pay cut / pay-in that the Governor proposed. So it’s not about balancing the budget. It’s a political attack on the unions.

There is no problem with my rant chu! It is a political attack on the unions! PEOPLE ARE TIRED OF THESE UNIONS chu AND ARE FIGHTING BACK FOR A CHANGE! Didn’t the illegal usurper Obama promise change we can believe in? Civil servants do not have the right to collective bargain! Their pay is based upon what is negotiated in the private sector! Well anyway at one time that was how it was and it’s time to get back to that!

1. The union agreed to the pay cut. There’s your “change” that even you can believe in.
2. Obama’s birth certificate is on file in Hawaii if you’d like to see it.
3. The right to collectively bargain is a long-standing law that seeks to protect against unfair labor practices. If civil servants are overpaid, then the agreement to a cut in pay helps to resolve that. - Anonymous
You missed my point! The right to collectively bargain is a right reserved only for the private sector. Government employees wages are based upon that private sector bargain! Government employees do not have the right to collective bargaining….they are civil servants that work for the tax paying citizen!

Union thugs?! That was the one explosive man in a large crowd, who asked the camera man to get out of his face. It looked to me like the camera man was trying to provoke the only hot-head in the crowd. When someone clearly states that they don’t want to be interviewed, why not choose someone who would like to speak. Anybody notice how peaceful the rest of the crowd was, and how many people tried to calm the man down and keep the peace? Without my union I couldn’t afford good health care for my children. Why waste time trying to create falsehoods about the “left” instead of discussing the issues, like how unions raise the standards so all workers can get more respect and the pay they deserve. Busting unions will only give corporations free reign to mistreat workers any way they want.
- Soundmindhypnotherapy
It’s also interesting/important to note that as union membership, power, and influence have declined over the past 30 years, so have the real-world (inflation adjusted) wages & benefits of middle class workers. It use to be that one worker (usually the father in the stereotypical nuclear family – sexist as this reality may have been) could support a family of 4 or 5 in relative comfort. Now, a 2 income family can barely get by. In the meantime, the owner class has accumulated larger and larger shares of the nation’s wealth and income. Unions are the only force that works to turn the workplace (whether its a private business or a government service) from an autocracy to a democracy. A union is the only entity that enables workers to effectively address problems in the workplace. I’m not saying unions are perfect. To blatantly rip-off Winston Churchill, “Democracy [unions] is the worst form of government, except for everything else that’s been tried.”

Who is saying it is a Union goon/thug? Who is to say that it was not a plant by the Republican Tea Party? The DA of Indiana encouraged Scott Walker to have someone impersonate a Union sympathizer and then attack or wound Walker and he would then by a martyr. An Ohio Attorney encouraged the same thing, not to mention Walkers own constituents. It just shows you the lengths the Republican Tea Party will go to when people stand up for their rights.
***UPDATED: Beck praises Michelle Malkin***
A very startling clip here. I’m not sure how this started, but it’s clear from the thug’s comments that he doesn’t like the guy because he’s with the Tea Party (or at least he believes he is):
You Tea Partiers suck! You guys are ruining America!
Here’s what Michelle Malkin reports:
At AFSCME’s “solidarity” rally in Providence, Rhode Island on Tuesday, a cameraman was accosted by a fuming pro-union protester. The cameraman had his back to the goon, who appears to accost him unprovoked. The goon screams:
“I’ll f**k you in the ass, you faggot!”
His shouting escalates and other union supporters try to intervene as he threatened the cameraman, but he continues to foam at the mouth.
The “solidarity” mob finally starts chanting “Hey, hey, ho, ho, union-busting’s got to go” to drown out the goon’s snit fit. He yells that he will “follow you out of here.”
I’m starting the clip at 7:31 and there is a fair amount of cursing. Just fyi:
