When it comes to the military I think McCain is a hero and a great supporter of our men in women in uniform. As a politician, though, i don't respect him....oustide of the military.
What are hecklers thinking? Do they think anyone's going to be impressed with their interruptions? Everyone is too busy thinking how stupid they are instead of hearing a single thing they are spitting out. It accomplishes nothing except making them look like asses.
I don't know....I kinda like the uniform without egg plastered all over it. I don't want to see a hero go through lib-land getting spat upon.
It might help get through to some of them, though.

Mitt Romney was NOT a draft-dodger. He was serving a mission for his church in France during the time he was first "of age" to be able to serve, but when he came home he registered for the draft, but was not drafted. Get your facts straight, and stop spewing things that aren't true!
Agreed. I don't care that much for Romney but we are not helping ourselves by destroying him with lies. That helps Obama.

There are so many people in our Military with those same convictions...those same grateful sentiments most of us feel for our Fallen Military members. Servicemen like Gunny Papaditch will defend their citizens and their Constitutional Republic until they are no more... and think nothing of it... They know their duty... As do so many of us. God Bless our Fallen... Bless our Living... and keep this great country in Your Good Graces...

I could listen to folks from our military speak all day, any day, unlike POTUS or Panetta. I turned off the TV each time either one was speaking today.
Bill Whittle did a great interview with a WWII vet discussing the battle of Tarawa "A Soldier's Story". Excellent, as usual from Bill. There is a disclosure at the start, warning of adult language, but I didn't find it offensive given the context.

Thanks Donald. I remembered that from last year, but it was so good I watched all 3 parts for a second time this afternoon. I love the fact that he can talk without notes or a teleprompter. Obviously, he believes what he speaks.
Not been on the site for a few days now (been a tad busy) but thought I'd just pop by and drop a note to say a quick thank you and show my respects for your fallen servicemen and women.
Some Europeans (sadly, not enough of us) have an appreciation of US valued support, not to mention leadership in past conflicts and recognise the sacrifices made by your servicemen for the benefit of our ancestors and their future generations.

In the military, our troops learn sacrifice, committment, honor, integrity, unfailing teamwork, and love for God and country. Seems to me they are exactly what we need in America's cesspool of current politics.
Which is precisely why No Dictator will ever succeed in wresting control of our great Nation... Our Military will never allow it, one.. and two, the citizenry are never going to allow it... combine these two and any would-be Commie-crat will cease to exist in short order. These miscreants know this...and will forever fail in their quest to Socialize this country.
