Uzbekistan: Persecution under oppressive rule

Wow, this really brings home the reality of what it’s like to be a Christian where liberty doesn’t reign. This is a story of two pastors who have both been arrested and jailed in Uzbekistan for preaching the Gospel of Christ. One is released and one remains. It’s a short film, yet a powerful story of the horrible persecution of Christians in Uzbekistan.

Note: Uzbekistan’s population is almost 90% Muslim with authoritarian presidential rule – basically a dictatorial government.

It’s interesting how so many here cry ‘victim’ when the police come around, yet in this story it was the police/government who almost starved this family to death. We know nothing of this kind of oppression and I hope we never do.
