Your post of Levin’s comments and this post are dead on. It crossed my mind a few days ago, but I could not put into words the feeling I was having about how this is being played- Levin did a great job, and this post not only reminds people of the larger game being played, but it should serve as a reminder that it is up to us to push things to the right.
In an old Dinesh book I have he states that when things are so radically left, the only way to fight it is with radical right- it seems that if that is the case, it would prevent the center-right from being demonized as an “extreme” right….really I don’t know, but it’s good food for thought.

Scoop, do you have any thoughts on why Republicans continue their polite door opening?
- Anonymous
I’ll give you my opinion as a former liberal.
I’m going to use the use “conservative” instead of Republican because I think it’s better label for the type of politicians and pundits who are the problem.
John McCain, for example, is a Republican but he’s not only a Progressive he’s also an assh*le, so he doesn’t count among the worst offenders of the group.Conservatives are always at a disadvantage because they are intelligent, thinking, trusting people who have the really bad habit of assuming liberals are sane. They’re not. Liberals are bat sh*t crazy. Their entire existence is based on a series of lies all piled into a heap that represents everything they think, feel, and believe. At the top of this heap is the deep seated hatred for anyone and anything that is even a little bit right of center.
So while conservatives are holding open the door for the liberals, thinking that the liberals will recognize and appreciate the gesture, the liberal is seething with hatred over the arrogance and presumption of the Evil door holder for having the gall to presume he needs the door held, wants the door held, and going in the door in the first place. How dare they.
And as the poor, clueless, conservative smiles at the liberal as they walk by, the liberal is fantasizing about ways the conservative can die as slow and painful death as possible.
But that’s just my opinion.

The only solution is to abolish the branches of government that are unaccountable and unelected, such as the FCC.
As long as there remains a federal institution dedicated to regulating and controling speech, there is a danger to the 1st amendment.
These socialists really are misguided people though. They are blinded by hatred, power and control. I pity them.
- Paulchri
Lord Monckton made the point that England was ruled now by unelected people, and elections are just for show. He doesn’t see England as a country that he will work with, because he doesn’t see them as democratic anymore. I would argue that this is quickly becoming our system as well with the czars and regulatory tyrant federal departments. I don’t see that our elections are amounting to much anyway. Without any respect for the constitution, there is no inherent restriction on gvnmt action. The democratic aspect of our society is almost completely impotent as it is. In theory, we could vote in people that would turn the balance of law and power back to favor the citizens, but it is extremely unlikely given the welfare state and how dumbed down the citizens are.

The preface to this Van Jones interview is spot-on RS. Levin, RUSH, Beck; these are the media leaders for conservatives. Levin is uniquely qualified in that he was in Reagan’s WH. HE KNOWS how bodies get buried and the infomercial assassinations whence these attacks emanate. THE greatest part of the past two years starts with the education and eye-opening facilitated from true news sources and articulate, TRUTHFUL op-ed pieces. WE are at least informed to the source and sevrity of this disgusting assault on our Constitution and Republic. Thank you RS for being one of these leaders….

WOW! trscoop…hadn’t even watched the Jones clip yet…but yes, Yes & YES! to all you said..! The left will continue to frame the debate for our future by painting the ‘right’ as the ‘radical fringe’…ppl need to step up, the mid-term was just a single battle. Don’t rest now, not even a little. They are armed to fight for the progressive cause, we must ensure we don’t give ONE INCH of what we’ve gained. Keep standing, keep fighting for freedom…not another INCH of compromise! or we’ll be wondering where Liberty went as we fight for scraps at the liberal table. Just see how the EU is faring right now with their ‘austerity’ measures…hmmm, socialism not working out too well, eh?…those who sopped up at the govt. table are a bit angry that the well’s run dry? where did they think that money came from?? pixie dust? don’t let it happen to America, we’re very close…TOO close…

I hope the left starts their ‘revolutin “- I would love to split a commies wig

Communists use to be our enemy. The democrat party is no longer the party of JFK and is instead the Socialist Democrat party which is -yep- the communist party. To be a democrat now is to be truly un-American. They do not believe in the American principles upon which this country was founded. The enemy is inside the wire.
Tell me something I don’t know. The big take-away that people are getting from this is how they want to take over the media. We already know that Al Not-So-Sharpton is meeting with the FCC soon to put pressure on them to create new ways of regulating talk radio for the explicit purpose of taking down Rush Limbaugh. It’s all about baby steps, and this is one of them. Once the new regulation is in place, then they will use it against those whoever they want to shut down, like Rush, Hannity, Levin, Beck, and so on. And part of that process will be figuring out a way to regulate cable, i.e. Fox News, so they can do the same with that.
Look, anyone who doesn’t think they are serious about this is foolish. But this is about much more than the media.
Honestly, the part that I thought was most important from this wasn’t about the media, but what he says about the next two years. They are gaming, and gaming hard to win the hearts and minds of the public. Think about it. Every time they mention Republicans behind a microphone they are demonizing them as racists, terrorists, hostage-takers, selfish white men, slurpee-drinking incompetent boobs, etc. And for the next 2 years, who will they say is governing? We all know that Republicans can’t pass major legislation because they don’t have the Senate or the Executive, but the Democrats will do their damnedest to make it look like the Republicans are so extreme that they can’t get anything done. They will work even harder to paint Republicans as extremists and will say they can’t work with them because they are outside the mainstream.
Mark Levin is so dead on the money with this that it’s pathetic. The radical message is being set up to be the moderate mainstream message, which will leave the conservative message looking extreme, especially to those who aren’t paying attention. This is why we need the Republicans to stop behaving passively like gentlemen opening the door for a nice lady, and to put on the camo and arm themselves with message cannons. The only way the public will resist this radical message is if Republicans give them a choice and start calling these people out for who they are, and with a very loud voice.
You may be thinking right now that they have the media and how can we overcome that? Well I would say just look at Chris Christie and tell me that his message hasn’t gotten out there in New Jersey. A lot of people nowadays are wanting to beat up on him because he continues to use his loud voice to tell the truth. Just look at the media, as they are trying to paint him as a bully. But the man knows what he is doing and is not going to let them control the debate. He will continue to hammer his message, that the Unions are corrupt and are stealing money from the citizens of New Jersey, and that a more fiscal, smaller government is the only way to get out of this mess. And that’s what we need in DC.
Look, we’ve done a great job so far over the last 2 years with the Tea Parties, but if we relax now because we have a Republican House, then we risk losing everything we’ve worked for. The next 2 years are the most crucial if we want to get our country back and we MUST carry the torch for freedom even higher. We must force the Republicans to use every available chance to hammer home the message that the radicals are in DC and they are trying to steal our liberty, our country. And we must fight them off. That means calling the President out for who he is to, because he is one of them.
