Or do you mean the 'Socrates' of Plato's 'The Republic'? That Socrates? Do you recall the allegory of the cave and Socrates' ideal order of a nation? The philosopher king? The one where he is the all-powerful king with rights to reproduce with every girl he deems 'suitable' and kill or direct everyone according to his ideal of the 'greater good'?
Did you also note where Socrates dictates that any abnormality in the children, anything that could be perceived as non-optimal/perfect, means that they should be starved or slaughtered to save the resources for the strengthening of his 'republic'? Or how he would make sure that his lies and information is all that the people can see, so he can control them...
Are we talking about the same guy? Because I know of no other 'Socrates'.
Are you referring to him as a positive or negative example? Not only is that not clear whether he is supposed to be a role model for good or bad, but I don't know of any renown or respected political scientist of any kind who denies that killing is an acceptable tool to deal with enemies who are trying to kill you. That's what we're talking about here. A murderer who refuses to cease murder, has an organization behind him to help perpetrate it, and is outside your legal jurisdiction to detain.
I'm curious; What solution would you have offered otherwise? Or do you believe there IS a solution to 'the human problems' we have here?

Do you all realize that if OBAMA would recognize this war for what it really is and let out military do what they know how to do, we could start taking out strategic targets and specific terrorist personnel just like this over and over and be done with this war in no time?

As I'm watching a precise and, as far as war and killing people goes, incredibly humane air strike, I can't help but notice how modern and non-impoverished the neighborhood is. There are no piles of rubble or rubbish on the roads, and there are trees and cars and multi-story buildings.
This not only shows the care and precision of the Israeli strike, but puts to shame the perpetrated lie that Israel is keeping them in poverty. (We knew it wasn't true, but even this clip, which will be used to show the 'inhumanity' of Israel proves the lie wrong. Make sure to point that out to your liberal friends that part as well. They can't have it both ways.
They have building material, they have gas, they have money, enough to build large buildings, buy cars and maintain them, fill them with gas, clean the streets, and they have established trees- which means they not only have water, but have had water to spare... for quite a while. This also implies extra food. A place without plentiful food isn't worried about watering trees or cleaning streets and buying cars.
