In an interview with Good Morning America, Sarah Palin says Obama flip flopped on his principles regarding taxing the rich. We all remember that during the campaign Obama slammed McCain for wanting to extend the Bush tax cuts, and now he is the one extending them. That is indeed a flip flop and Sarah Palin is right on the money. But rest assured, the MSM will make sure that everyone knows this was a ‘compromise’ and not a ‘flip flop’ over the next two years – All Hail Obama.
Palin also talks about the double standard between men and women, noting that she would never be able to cry like Boehner. And that is true. I remember when Hillary cried on the campaign trail and she was mocked heavily for it. But I think that the difference is that, due to our cynicism, crying rarely looks genuine when someone is trying to solicit votes, and none of Boehner’s recent crying episodes came when he was campaigning. But I do think that even more so for Sarah Palin, that she would almost never be able to cry without it being plastered all over the news with everyone noting how unpresidential she looks. She is a special case above everything in the Media.
