Look for events at which Shoebat and Brigitte Gabriel appeared together. That may narrow things down a bit, although I’m sure they’ve worked together quite a lot.

Critics, such as Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations have questioned Shoebat’s story as well as those of other alleged converts from Islamic terrorism, saying they are fundamentalist Christians falsely claiming to be former Muslim terrorists.[9] Academic professors and others who have heard Shoebat and the two other evangelists he sometimes lectures with (Zachariah Anani and Kamal Saleem) complain they are too old to have been recruited for Islamic terror as teenagers since the ideology of Islamic jihad attacks “only became prevalent in the late 1980s,” and the men are all middle age. Skeptics question as to why Shoebat has been able to retain his US citizenship if it is true that he was involved in acts of terror.[10]
The Jerusalem Post states that Shoebat has profited from his story that he was formerly a Muslim terrorist, but has rejected Islam for Christianity.[1]
When the Post asked Shoebat whether the Walid Shoebat Foundation is a registered charity, he said that it was registered in Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania State Attorney’s office said it had no record of such a charity. When asked again, Shoebat claimed it was registered under a different name, but that he was not aware of the Foundation’s registered name, nor any other details, which were known only to his manager. Dr. Joel Fishman, of the Allegany County Law Library in Pennsylvania, expressed doubts Walid Shoebat Foundation’s donation process. He noted that if the money were being given to a registered charity, the charity would have to make annual reports to the state and federal government.[1]
Shoebat says that Daniel Pipes has supported him and his claims.[4]Take it for what its worth. I don’t know about the validity of these claims, but I would be hesitant to take what he says at face value.

A little Google research pulled up the same claim (re: not registered in Pennsylvania). In fact, the same sentences are repeated on each of the first page of links http://bit.ly/eeI9Vn spanning more than two years. Sounds an awful lot like MSM-style talking points to me, such as Larry O’Connor recently reported on at BigJournalism http://bit.ly/hOgspw.

An EIN number is listed for “Forum for Middle East Understanding”, as well as an address and designation as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. I would think that could be easily verified.
I realize ,sir, that you were not specifically challenging Mr. Shoebat’s veracity, but I thought others might like this perspective.

Shoebat understands and exposes the Muslim pathology, or psychopathy if you will. Being attacked by CAIR is a badge of honor. Shoebat gets it also from the progressive left.
Christ Rodda, seen on Olberman and in HuffPo, is the crusading (forgive the use of the word here) anti-Christian zealot who in her anti-religious sanctimony has taken it upon herself, as Senior Research Director of the esteemed Military Religious Freedom Foundation to call for the arrest of Shoebat “if he was a terrorist”.
Funny thing that pathology of the left… arrest the former terrorist (because he’s a Christian … doncha know) but the jihadis on American soil plying their trade… nah.. they’re just freedom fighters with just cause.

This seems to be a case of pulling a fact out of thin air to discredit Shoebat. Islamic Jihad against Jews has been “prevalent” since the creation of the State of Israel in 1948. That is, the modern Islamic Jihad got jump started in 1948. Islam has at it’s core the belief that Jews are the sworn enemies of Islam. Christians are simply mistaken and follow a lesser Prophet, but Jews hold a particularly vile place in Islam because Jews know that the Koran is the true word of God and actively work against it. That has been true since Mohamed’s time.
Anyway, if someone really wants to date the modern Islamic Jihad, especially when it comes to Palestinians, the 1972 Summer Olympics would be a good place to start.

The key word is “prevalent” in the context of Jihad against Jews. As opposed to Jihad against everyone else, I guess. It’s a bullsh*t argument meant to give Jew haters a thread to hang their sorry hatred on.
Islamic Jihad really started the day Mohamed looked around and figured out what idiots most people are.

This is a great speech and Walid has been talking about this for years to anyone who will listen, and finally people are starting to hear it. Thanks for posting this!

I’ve read his books; “God’s War on Terror” as well as “Why We Want to Kill You” I would definitely recommend both.
This is a very sobering speech by Walid Shoebat that gives us an inside look at his life growing up in Palestine. He gives detailed accounts of how he and others in his community were taught to hate the Jewish people and how they committed violence against Jewish people; how they even tried to kill an innocent Jewish man while he was trying to call for help to come save the girl he had just mistakenly hit with his vehicle.
The overall theme to his speech is to describe what is really at the core of this conflict between the Palestinians and the Jewish people and he doesn’t pull any punches. It’s the cold hard truth that so many people want to ignore. I would definitely categorize this as a must listen. It runs about 40 minutes and is worth every minute.
