Wapo attacks Romney as an anti-gay bully, ignores Obama actually bullying a girl

The media is digging into Romney’s past with willful glee trying to discredit him in order to protect Obama. Just yesterday Obama made his non-announcement that he thinks gay people should be able to get married, even though he doesn’t support it federally. So what does the WAPO do on the day after his non-announcement? They run a hit piece on Romney, digging 50 years into Romney’s school days to find that he once pranked a guy (who they say was presumed gay) and cut his hair. Of course they make it sound like vicious gay bullying. Problem is their story already has one hole in it (h/t: TheDC):

In trying to build their case, WAPO says that a friend of Romney, Stu White, has ‘long been bothered’ this incident that happened 50 years ago:

“I always enjoyed his pranks,” said Stu White, a popular friend of Romney’s who went on to a career as a public school teacher and has long been bothered by the Lauber incident. “But I was not the brunt of any of his pranks.”

Turns out Stu White told ABC News that he hadn’t even heard of this incident until this year when the WAPO contacted him:

While the Post reports White as having “long been bothered” by the haircutting incident,” he told ABC News he was not present for the prank, in which Romney is said to have forcefully cut a student’s long hair and was not aware of it until this year when he was contacted by the Washington Post.

Why would WAPO report that? Sounds like they’ve been caught smearing Romney with lies…well, at least one lie. I wonder how many other lies are in this piece? My guess is more than one.

In any event, a blog called The Talk of the Times dug up an interesting tidbit from Obama’s first book, Dreams of my Father, where he talks about how he bullied a girl because others started teasing him:

It’s 2008 all over again. They dig deep to smear Romney as an anti-gay bully exactly one day after Obama gives lip service to gay marriage. But they won’t even report on what is in Obama’s own book, that he bullied a girl. Oh wait, that sounds like Obama’s war on women started a lot longer than we knew!

But this isn’t a surprise as we knew the media would fight like hell to keep Obama elected. Thankfully they aren’t the only media any longer.

Oh yeah, Obama did illegal drugs in high school and college.
